I used the solenoid from this unit to replace a solenoid on a similar Toro valve (which didn't seem to last 3 years). An Orbit universal solenoid I bought from Lowe's didn't work (it fit but didn't work right). With Amazon Prime and free shipping, this made it the cheapest solution to get a working replacement solenoid.

I give it a 5. I bought this package and a Toro 8-Zone Ecxtra Controller separately. Initially, I had some problems with the software. It updated my controller, but it wouldn't run the schedule as I had indicated. Since then I've solved all the problems. Here is my take on all that: The 'Schedule Advisor' software on the CD that comes with the TimePod may be out-of-date if it has been sitting on your retailer's shelf for a long time. My CD came with software version 1.0.48. It had a bug in it that kept the controller from turning on automatically. They are all the way up to version 1.0.60 at the time of this review. For tight spaces, this valve is ideal. Has male thread and small size to easily fit in replacement problem area. Unfortunately, listed vendor Home & Beyond does not ship this product, they will send a 3/4" inch valve that you can easily get at HomeDepot with different specs.

In general I prefer electric trimmers to gas ones. I don't mind the cord, and they are cleaner and quieter than other styles. I'm looking for a new trimmer - different brand. I used a Weed-Eater brand trimmer for years, and was very happy with it. After losing that one, I bought this one... mistake... I have used this one for about a year - moderate use in a small suburban Texas yard. It worked well with the original spool. I have fought with the spool & string repeatedly since then. When it is time for a change, the entire mechanism gets stuck together to the point of being unworkable -- will not budge. Screwwdrivers and channel-locks only scrape up the spool worse. Replacing it is not very difficult. However, it is expensive to replace every year. When the cover is blown, the flooding water also causes disaster if nobody is at home. If you are designing a new system, I strongly recommend against this product.
