This model is exactly what i was hoping for.While not as powerful as the 12 amp model, It gets the job done while being a bit lighter in the weight department which is what i was looking for.This makes it more maneuverable for me & the wife likes it also.

If you're mechanically inept, like me, don't pay any attention to the review that suggests buying line and respooling it yourself. If you try that, I suggest using protective gear when you turn the trimmer on as the spool may unwind for several feet before tangling up, cutting everything in its path including you. (This statement comes from experience!) I've had my Toro trimmer for several years, replace two or three spools every year, and never had a problem with it, or with replacing the spools.

I go thru nozzles every year from either it leaking or breaking. This one finally seems to be made very well and best of all when you twist for different settings it doesn't leak! I also like that the different settings are powerful and accurate. My last nozzle's jet setting was very sloppy and was more of a spray. This one is very precise and sharp. I also like that there is a small nob that lets you control the pressure from min-max on any spray setting so when your spraying something up close you can lower it for delicate things rather than trying to regulate the pressure with your hand on the trigger. I have a feeling this hose nozzle will last more than one season!

I replaced my Hunter wired sensor that has been "baked" almost since the day I installed it. It just never worked right. The Houston, Texas sun and humidity may have something to do with this. This Toro wired rain sensor is awesome. It took 10 minutes to install and works! I am using it with a Toro controller and that may be the reason it's superior over the Hunter. I feel this sensor is a great value and I strongly recommend it!

I have an old irrigation system with a part that looked just like this that wore out. I was able to replace the old one with the new one in minutes with basic tools.

So far, not a very good experience. I paid extra for the software and transfer module. Unfortunately, the transfer module doesn't seem to actually transfer anything to the timer even though it indicates that it did. Worse yet, my manually set program doesn't finish properly leaving the system hung and needing a manual reset. If I resolve this, I will update my review but I don't have a lot of time to play around with this problem. That is why I paid extra for the software and transfer module. So far, it seems to have been an effort in futility.
