I looked at a couple of LED light sticks before my fishing partner found this Sylvania lite stick. This is by far the best and most cost effective light stick we have seen. We are using them in a salt water environment for marking our bouys while hoop netting. As to how long the batteries will last, we are not sure. We probable only have 10 hours or so on the first set, but there is no sign of light degregation or moisture leakage. It really doesn't matter, these batteries are cheap on line. You can get them for about 18 cents each when you buy 200 or more. The light emission from the stick is increadable. These are 1.5 times brighter than the light sticks we were using before.
