I purchased this to use as my large first aid kit for disaster/emergency preparedness. Nice and roomy, sturdy. I particularly like the tray which allows contained storage of small items, and the two snap-open storage areas on the top that allow you to reach frequently needed items (like bandaids and antibiotic ointment) without opening the entire case.

I bought this case probably six months or so ago, and haven't used it since. I'd bought it in the hopes of using it as an odds and ends storage container for nails, screws, bolts, etc. It works well for the larger items, but the minute you hold it as intended, the smaller pieces fall through the cracks into the other bins, defeating the purpose of the separate bins.

While it's still a usable tote, I found the Plano brand (looks like a lunchbox) to be better suited for what I needed. The difference between the two being Plano's method of carrying the smaller bits. Rather than have the cartons tipped on their side, they're always laying flat. The stanley organizing case works against itself.

I'll probably end up using it for larger items that are still small enough ... Read More

I have had two of these for about a year. I'm a site superintendent/lead carpenter. I love the organization but the plastic is cheap and when it's exposed to cold weather it cracks and breaks like peanut brittle. Both of the locks that hold the drawers shut have broken off. The frame is very light gauge and has dislodged itself many times requiring repair. The design is there I just wish Stanley would use quality plastic and real pneumatic wheels with a decent frame! Take a look at the Bosch gravity rise stands for table/chop saws Bosch TS2000 Gravity-Rise Wheeled Table Saw Stand. Those products are well worth the money. They are built like tanks. This toolbox is NOT. For $80 I want better quality.

I had a small tool box from years ago, but had acquired so many new tools over the years I needed a bigger tool box. This box was perfect for me as it was reasonably priced and big enough. Not much I can say as what you see is what you get. The box is made of a very sturdy plastic. Would buy again

It's about time.

I've been looking and waiting for a durable, waterproof toolbox for years. I bought the Stanley and so far so good. It feels tough, bits won't poke through it and you can sit on it at lunch time. It's currently holding three drills, two batteries, charger, and an assortment of smaller boxes holding bits and drivers - plenty of room.

When is the rest of this industry going to get a clue?

Very nice. It is too bad Stanley has decided to discontinue making this line. It seems like most containers now are thin flimsy plastic, this one will definetly stand the test of time

I bought one of these to store some of my ammo in, a few weeks ago. It is well made and durable. But as good as Amazon is, they are way overpriced on this one item. I paid less than 50.00, and that was regular price at one of the major home improvement chains.
I want another one, so c'mon guys, go check the competition...LOL!

I used to use the black plastic Stanley rolling crate when I travelled for work. I liked the size and ease of handling in the airport, but I didn't like the lack of options inside the crate for organizing your tools in a practical, workable way. This bag solves the organization problem. Plenty of pockets inside and out for smaller hand tools, and a storage cavity inside plenty big for a screw-gun, two batteries, charger, hammer, mallet, pry-bar and even a sander or a jig saw, if necessary. The wheels are definitely designed for the airport and not for off-roading. Even the finest pea-gravel can defeat those little suckers. My one major complaint is that the telescoping handle is quite flimsy. You can easily pull the bag with the handle but pushing is definitely not an option. I also worry about ... Read More
