The Skylink Sc 1000 worked fine, however, the accompanying sensors did not work properly. They either failed to link with the command module or they operated when I moved them in a certain angle. Setup was attempted twice with the same results.

My garage is about 40 feet from my house and I was able to use this remote to turn on the natural gas heater. I won't get too detailed, but, basically I use the remote contol switched outlet to energize a transformer to close a normally open DC relay. The relay is in series with the garage thermostat's wires. The switched oulet simultaneously turns on a low watt lamp that I positioned in the garage window to signal that the heat is on. So far the system works beautifully even on cold days. While I have my breakfast, I just hit the remote (that I leave on my kitchen's window sill). The light turns on so I know the garage is getting nice and warm to whatever temperature the garage thermostat is set for. I bought this over two years ago and it is still working fine. Easy to use. I tested it several times and the sensors each time worked. And the alarm sound is pretty loud as well. We now feel much safer when sleeping, knowing that the alarm would alert us if anyone is down stairs.

I bought the sc100 security system. I live in Honduras Central America. I bought the sistem via Gbox. I install the system an the accesories very easy but the contral panel dos not recive electricity from the ac 120 volts. I think the control panel is wrong. I need help so i can install the control panel with electricity

I bought this unit thinking it would allow a delayed entry or exit option. It doesn't. I kept the unit and used it as a remote sounding unit for the SC 101 panel from Skylink. This combination works great. On another note: This unit lost about 1/2 of its volume after a couple of alarm tests. This was the first time I had an issue with anything I have purchased from Amazon....WOW what great service. A simple email and the replacement was in the mail with a PREPAID return for the defective unit. I was totally impressed! Also see my review on the keypad and SC 101 panel.

Pros: Easy to install, clean look. Cons: The keypad doesn't give an audible tone for the delayed entry (pre alarm tone). I have located one of the keypads in my basement entry were you can't hear the main panel give you the pre alarm tone. It would be nice if this unit would also give you the pre alarm tone.

I was hoping this thing would just be able to pick up the signal from another transmitter and learn it (like a universal VCR remote). Since I live in an apartment building I don't have access to the garage door base station, and the remotes we have don't have the security codes written on them (and, upon opening them up, don't have DIP switches). I suppose it would work if you did have access to your base station or you knew your security codes. In my case, I had neither.
