I purchased this safe and the shipping was extremely fast (ordered on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday with Super Saver shipping) so no complaints there. However, opening the safe proved to be almost impossible, contrary to some other reviews I read. I finally got it open by turning it upside down and using my shoe to open the latch. Perhaps a defect with my unit, but I have returned it & plan to choose a different safe rather than risk it a second time.

This safe is just the right size for a home security safe. The budjet minded cost made this safe well worth every penny. A very solid well made secure safe. It totally exceeded my expectations. Not too heavy as far as being able to locate a proper place to install/bolt this safe. The touch key combination seems to work out better for us (easy to use). Plenty of room for important documents, money, and jewelry. Has given us the peace of mind knowing these items are secure. Stop looking you'll be pleased with this safe.

I have peace of mind, now that I purchased this safe. It's just the right size to put prescription drugs in, or car keys, or jewelry, or money. I placed it on a shelf, inside a cabinet. It can be mounted to the shelf or through the back, but in my case, it wasn't necessary. The safe is quality built. It works fine. It is very easy to change the combination. If you want a safe that will give you peace of mind, and will not give you more stress due to malfunction, go with this one. It may cost a bit more, but it is well worth it.

Buying the "7150" SentrySafe from Amazon was a great purchase. This was the lowest price I could find from "surfing" the net, and the shipping was free! The safe is sturdy and is easily mounted between 16" on-center wall studs, providing 14.5" of space for the 14" wide in-wall casing (note: 1/8" lathe on each side "shimed" the fit well . . . and cheap at any lumber yard). A header and footer isn't really needed, but I installed them anyway . . . just because it was easy to do. The combined combination and key provides extra security, (both are needed to open the safe), and they each operate with ease (the combination is assigned by the manufacturer).
