I have a mini frig that only has a car adapter...I wanted to bring the frig upstairs to use for baby bottles so I don't have to go up and down the stairs every night to the kitchen. this works great! It doesn't get hot and I've been using it for about 2 weeks now about 12 hours a day. Highly recommend.

We ended up not needing this for the item we bought it for, but kept it anyway because its just great to have around. Can power just about anything that has this type of AC adapter.

This item offered here (PowerLine 0900-27 Global Power Travel Kit) is actually two different converters built into one package. At LOW setting (up to 50W), it uses a small AC transformer to convert 220V sinusoidal waveform into a 110V sinusoidal waveform. This is the preferred approach which works well for any low power appliance. To handle higher power, however, the AC transformer must be made bulkier and heavier (around 20 pounds just for 1000W). This makes it impractical as a travel voltage converter for large-wattage appliance. This power supply worked just fine for me on various occasions, until I lost it in a move. The only issue with this adapter that I've had is that it does get very hot, hot enough to melt the plastic in which they provide those pillows and blankets. I'm trying out a more powerful adapter I found at Costco for about the same price. If you don't have a Costco membership or you need one fast, I'd definitely recommend this.

I think this thing deserves some better reviews on here - some of the previous reviewers may not be meant to own electronics. To the guy who tested it with a volt meter: 9.3V is pretty damn good for a 9V adapter, I've seen 9V adapters with 15V readings. Pretty much everything has an internal voltage regulator anyway. And the fact that it can put out more than the rated current is a good thing, not a bad thing. Bottom line, this thing works just like it's supposed to, and the USB charger is a nice touch. It's compact, I like the folding prongs. I'm surprised someone broke one off, they seem strong enough to me. I purchased this product at Walmart to use with our portable dvd players. The plug does not fit snuggly and falls out easily. The part that fits into the cigarette lighter is a great fit. It's the end that attaches to the dvd player that is the problem. I'll be exchaning it for another brand.

I purchased this at Walmart and was excited to use it over the weekend at the lake. unpacked it at the lake and was very disappointed because it would not fit either power outlet of my 2000 Ford F-150. Returned it no problem.

I Bought mine at walmart for a measly 10 bucks and used it for one day before the usb stopped working on it. I was only using a FM transmitter and charging a blackberry so i dunno what happened. I exchanged it for another one and it worked fine for the drive home. From here on is anyones guess. Wagon makes a similar Twin USB/DC Socket thats sold by amazon so that might be my next step if and when this one breaks.

Make sure to pay attention to the suggestion for the square footage of effectiveness per tub of product. If product scent becomes too strong, close the lid while in the immediate area, then reopen product after you leave. Lasts longer than Wizard, Glade, Renuzit, and other popular air freshener products.
