I thought about buying the Mantis Tiller for several years. I ordered the video and watched it each spring. I was hesitant about spending the money on something I would only use once in a while. Last spring I finally decided to buy the Mantis. I figured I use it to get my garden going, it wouldn't meet my expectation and I could send it back for a refund. Well, this tiller is everything they say it is. I wouldn't part with it and I've used it many times during the year,I even aerated my lawn.

This thermometer worked well for a while then got stuck at 80 deg. I think the shaft twisted slightly apart from the face part as I pulled it out of one of my compost piles.

Nice product, turns the loose dirt, moving it in loose dirt, mean on the user.

I just received these and I've not used my Mantis in a weedy area yet so I can't comment on how well they work. But I am pretty unhappy about the false advertising. The description of this item specifically says "Constructed of solid steel for strength and durability." But this is a lie. These parts are constructed of relatively cheap, light weight plastic. I hope they don't need to be strong or durable to survive! It really bothers me when companies make "mistakes" like this that favor themselves and hurt their customers. They may or may not work, but they are definitely overpriced considering they are small, simple pieces of cheap plastic and Mantis is charging quite a bit for them.

I know it's just a piece of tempered steel with a dipped in plasticote handle but it's the perfect piece. It really makes digging out tangles easier. I have owned Mantis Tillers for nearly twenty years and just got a detangler a month or so ago. What a difference! Don't buy the tiller without buying this!

Bought this Lawn Mower mainly for my parents are who love to take care of the garden, which includes cutting the grass! They are getting on in age, but still insist to get their "exercise". This was a perfect gift for them, it is light, easy to start, quiet, and cuts the lawn beautifully, as if it was done with a pair of hand held scissors. The battery life is fine, I purchased an extra one just in case. I have personally used it to cut the lawn many times now, and can say it is so easy to use, I actually enjoy cutting the lawn. :o) It is a pleasure to look back at the immaculately cut lawn. We did have the loose hub cap as in another reiview, but it is purely cosmetic, I'm sure I will get around someday to put it back on, but for now too busy cutting the lawn with the ... Read More

The detatch attachment works very well and it makes quick work out of a lawn. It appears to be a high quality implement and it did a great job dethatching my lawn. I was surprised how quickly it went. I don't think the aerator is going to be worth while, but it was basically free, so who cares!

The Mantis tiller is a fine machine, but the edger attatchment blade is poorly made. I've used it to edge behind the curb in my front yard to keep the grass from growing over the curb. The blades become bent and then the tiller will "bounce" or buck up into the air. You have to turn the Mantis off and take a pair of vise grips to straighten the blades back into alignment. Repeat this process several times and the tips of the blades break off. This attachment is a real disappointment. Not worth the trouble.
