I moved into a new house and didn't want to go through the hassle of purchasing a storage unit that had to be approved by the homeowners association, not to mention expensive. I purchased hyloft overhead shelving and the add-on-storage rack and am thrilled and amazed at the difference it has made with being able to store items off the ground in a neat and organized manner. I would definitely purchase this item again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive alternative to outdoor storage units!!!

It is very nice add-on hooks under Hyloft storage. I can hang like electric cords, hoses, etc. It is pretty strong hooks.

I just purchased my 4th set of these shelves. Yes, my 4th. Low-profile, easy to install, holds HUGE amounts of HEAVY garage things without sacrificing floor space. I had 2 sets in my old townhouse garage. When I sold the townhouse the buyers specifically requested that I leave the shelves, so I did. Got to my new house, had a 2.5 car garage so I didn't think I would need these shelves again. Well, I sure did miss having the off-the-ground storage space after a few months, so I bought 2 more sets and had them installed in less than 30 minutes. One shelf alone holds a full set of 17" wheels and tires for me. Remember, that each purchase yields TWO SHELVES.

There are already reviews here that caution regarding fit with two different HyLoft overhead storage systems, so I guess it would be useful to understand which systems these things actually fit! Unfortunately, unless you're buying your overhead racks at the same time, you're unlikely to know the model number. Some better description than 'fits #XYZ' would be useful, because if both other reviews are accurate, I can't find a model they do fit.

This storage rack is very easy to install and looks great. It holds 6 of my 205 width tires with ease and is a huge space saver. A more visually appealing solution to stand up racks or individual tire hangers. Purchasing from Amazon with free shipping saves a bundle.

I purchased 10 of these to put in my garage. It is a very sturdy product and well constructed. The only drawback is that you must hit a stud with the lag screws. I dont think a toggle bolt will give you the weight capacity of the shelves.

Looks good on paper. Hard to install. Need two people to install and had to buy bigger screw brackets to hold heavier material. Looks good once installed.

This unit appears to be quite sturdy and all needed hardware and brackets are included if the desired location has two side walls less than perhaps 41" apart, as in a small, narrow closet. What's in the box: The actual telescoping shelf with rod unit arrives fully assembled; there is also one side support mounting bracket and one center support mounting bracket included loose in the box, along with a packet of hardware and installation instructions. Basic tools needed for assembly and installation: level, 1/4" drill bit, tape measure, #2 Phillips head and flathead screwdrivers,ladder or step stool, and a hammer. I purchased the white 42 - 72 inch shelf. Got it quickly and it installed solidly without issue. I like the shelf, but see that it is now selling for over $60 - I don't think it is worth that much, but was pleased with the $20 plus price point I found. Buy it, but search for a great deal.
