I would easily recommend this knife to anybody who thinks it would be nice to have. The opening mechanism is slick and effective without coming off as automatically scary or threatening when used sensibly. I think this knife could be considered a good safety item for someone that spends a lot of time in a boat, air plane, or pretty much any vehicle. If you are ever caught in a situation where you only have one hand/arm available and you need to cut something, like if you were in an accident and needed to cut a seatbelt off but its holding down one arm, this would be the knife to have, and its small enough to always be near and not take up a lot of space or add a lot of weight. This Gerber has all the most frequently used tools in your toolbox in one convenient unit. On top of that, it's got a great "Stealth" look. I had a similar model of Gerber, but it was stolen. I was very pleased with it, so I bought a new one and am happy I did. My personal favorite tool on it is the double-toothed saw. It rips through small branches when I need to create a makeshift shelter... and fast.

I've owned this for almost 6 months now, and I'm still very pleased with its performance. I had read some reviews that suggested that the Gerber FAST spring-assist would sometimes open in the pocket. I'm happy to report that this has never happened to me. I've carried this in my pocket in tight- and loose-fitting pants/shorts, and I've never had any problem with unanticipated opening. I was a bit worried that the spring would wear out over time, but it shows no signs of weakening yet.

Nice knife, nice finish. It's a little hard to "thumb-open" due to it's smaller size. I like the lock/release switch on the side.

Knife is well constructed. Good heavy blade with a nice edge on it. Good comfortable handle. Sheathe is not leather but seems well constructed and durable.

The axe is a great size and works great. The only thing that I can think to say is that the metal is a little soft. It doesn't seem to slow it down though. It is durable and a great size. I love it!!
