I wanted to learn engraving so I bought this little inexpensive tool. The first thing I ever did turned out really well. I engraved a hummingbird and a flower on a glass. Since then I have engraved names on stainless covered books and frames. A little loud but works well for me.

I wont repeat what everyone else has said about this being a fine tool,It is and my only gripe about it is that it is not really a heavy duty piece. If you try to grind a cylinder head port you will find out fairly quickly that this flex shaft is for light duty only and will overheat and or become disconnected internally. Otherwise it works very well on all manner of things.

This product is excellent for extending your dremel and cutting at right angles. I am no longer hit by sparks when cutting off old nails etc.. At first I was skeptical, but no longer. I have used this for several products I have been doing outside. Definately recommended.

I was looking for a corded oscillating tool and looked at the Fein Multitasker and blades, but it is just way too expensive to purchase for my needs. So I bought the Dremel and the Rockwell to compare side by side... The $100 Dremel is lighter and a bit smaller but the buzz the motor makes compared to the Rockwell motor [a little bit heavier and slightly bigger] which humms smoothly is like comparing a Vespa scooter to a Victory street bike. Since the basic Rockwell is only $20 more than the Dremel and the extra blades are about the same price, there was no question about going for the quality/durability of a Rockwell. Does whats its suppose to w/ no issues, the fence is very hand for inline routing. It has depth stops and a locking know that make it very easy to adjust plunge depth. Used it several times now w/ no problems.

I have used this product for several years and it has become one of my favorite tools. Its easy to set up and easy to use. It works with almost all of the Dremel motors. I highly recommend this to anyone who works with small wood projects. Too bad the router bits get dull so fast.

Several other reviewers have commented on the tendency of this keyless chuck to wobble and loosen in use. In some 20 years of use of this accessory, I've also found this to be the case (the tool bit works loose during use about 1/3 of the time), but have also found that this is particularly dangerous at high tool speeds. I recently had the keyless chuck vibrate loose while using a cut-off disk. Despite the fact that I felt a vibration in the tool and hurriedly moved to shut it down, by the time I did so, the mandrel had walked its way nearly fully out of the chuck, bent sharply sideways, but luckily stayed stuck in the chuck jaws long enough for me to shut down the tool. i just purchased the dremel stylus and CANNOT get the collet to open to put in the accessories. nor can i remove it. it says to move the switch into the locked position and then turn it counter-clockwise. i cannot get the collet to turn AT ALL in either direction when it's in the locked position. can anyone please help? am i doing something wrong? did anyone else have the same problem?
