There must be some trick to getting the cord wrapped on this thing that I don't know. I simply could not figure out how to be able to extend the cord to the wall socket and to the attached device. If I left a long bit so I could reach the socket, I couldn't turn the wheel to roll up the rest of the cord(and while trying, cut myself on the cheap plastic). Instead, I had to secure the female end, which means I'll have to move the unit to my appliance and whenever I want to move the shop vac, or whatever, I'll have to move the cord reel too. I thought all these things were supposed to make the job easier, but I was wrong. I am very pleased with the Desingers Edge Outdoor floodlight. I had the electrician install it on the my new sun room. The flood light will extend out quite a distance into my back yard. Living in the country it provides me with a little more security knowing I can see who or what has made the light come on. The pricing was comparable to the big box stores.

I wanted something for my garage out in the back yard, thought this would be great since there is no power out there. The light works fine, for now, but it is bovious that it is not constructed well at all. It is no very bright, but enough so you don't trip over stuff. It was very easy to install, and yes, they should have given instructions as to what to do with the metal rod. Took me a minute to figure out that it is an optional brace for the solar panel. If it cost any more, I would pay for the shipping to return it. I would NOT buy another one from this company, but DO PROMOTE the use of solar power in any way possible.

I bought this item and found no less than three problems with it when it arrived. One part was broken and a second was bent pretty badly. The third problem was a bolt hole was not properly machined and the bolt wouldn't fit through it. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered to ship me replacements for the two damaged parts, but the guy claimed he didn't have the part with the misshapen bolt hole and that I should "clean that up with a drill". So, I did, and then waited for the new parts to arrive. When they did, I found that NEITHER of them were the correct part! So, I shipped the whole unit back to Amazon and I'll buy a different brand. These things are awesome. VERY cheap. You have to have extension cords for these cause the cord is only 1ft. long. And there's no switch so to turn them off you have to unplug them. Other than that. They are perfect and cheap. Great cheap solution to video/photo lighting.

I recently purchased this worklight and was very happy with the many mounting options it offered; you can pretty much put this anywhere you need to get light on a specific area. However, be careful where you mount it, as with all halogen lights, this one gets real hot. I gave it only 3 stars, because when after about 15-20 hours of use, the bulb blew in a spectacular "pop"; which was a bit strange, since I know not to handle/touch a halogen bulb when installing it, and that it took that long before it failed. (Now I have to buy a replacement bulb)

I bought this product last month, and it is easy to be installed. I am happy with the product, after installed in my front door, it work good. It has three small buttons can judge the sense of light, time period and day light. That is enought for normal home useage. The reason I didnot put 5 star is: If it came with light bulds, I can immediately use it, it would be better. Otherwise, I need went to shopping for buld, it cost some time. :)

I purchased 2 of these for each side of my garage. These lights work very well. They are not overly sensitive. I use the dusk to dawn feature. We live on a hill and away from others and I feel an added security with these lights.
