I just purchased the Culligan filtered showerhead. It far exceeds what I expected to get. The water pressure and water quality are amazing. I LOVE the different settings. I use the massage setting for a treat. I love how soft my hair and skin are after showering with this showerhead. I highly recommend it.

I live in Miami FL in an apartment. Between the heavily chlorinated water supply and probably old pipes, my skin and hair had been SO dry. I usually have a thick head of hair, but I noticed that I was losing more and more strands after I shampooed in the shower. I tried several shower filters, but this one seems to be the best. As soon as I installed the filter, my hair was back to normal and my skin wasn't so dry. It was like a miracle. After going through several Pur faucet filters that would unexpectedly spring a leak, I decided to give this Culligan a try and so far we love it! Pros: - Good price compared to Pur or Brita - Filter automatically reverts to off position when water is turned off - Very easy installation - Filter is small and takes up less space around the sink Cons: - Does not have built-in indicator for filter replacements To me, the taste has been fine - the water tastes like water, just as it should! Overall, very highly recommended!

The Culligan filter is more reliable and lasts longer than the Pur or the GE filters but it is also the slowest filter in terms of water flow.

For the price its a great deal it reduced the chlorine a great deal but it is still there. I actually poured a glass of water from the shower then attached the filter ran it 10 minutes and filled up a second glass to compare. If I had to guess I'd say its an 80% reduction. I would love something better but there is no evidence that Sprite or Aquasana work any better. All 3 are only certified to remove chlorine and any other tests are so called independent laboratory tests that every filter company boasts about. If one does come out at 10,000 gallon capacity that removes flouride for less than $100 and can prove it then I can justify the cost to get that junk permanently out of my system.

As with almost all water filtration filters and systems, these items are still far too high priced for justification as to recovery of research and development costs. But as long as the American public continues to purchase soil by the bag, air purifiers for every room and water in handy, chilled bottles, the costs of these items will remain high. Generic manufacturers would do well to offer these items for the sake of all people. Until that time, we, as Americans, have only ourselves and our fears to blame for the costs and expenditures we allow and encourage.

I've only had this a few days, but so far so good! It really makes a huge difference with the water quality. I can really feel and smell a difference. (No more chlorine smell and the water feels softer) One recommendation though-- remove the water restrictor that is inside the handle.. it makes a HUGE difference in the water pressure. (There are instructions inside the manual on how to do this). I already recommended this showerhead to several people I know.
