The replacement filters are fine. They a little flimsier than the orignal filters I had but seem to do the job. The mailing of the filters took a little longer than I expected but did arrive within 10 business days. At over $12, the shipping and handling was more that the cost of a filter. All that being said, this is one of the few places that actually stocks the filters and they provide good service and excellent updates as to the status of the order.

The good: 1. Good price The Bad: 1. It took about 2 weeks to get 5 of the fan motor/fan kits - TOO LONG! 2. Apparently, there A-H versions of the fan motor, a fact not listed on the supplier site. I had the "H" series in my home which is NOT compatible with the BP27 model number they shipped me. 3. I went onto their site to request an RMA which was easy to use, but did not produce an RMA within the 2 days stated on the site. I had to call their toll free number, which was pleasant and efficient, producting an email RMA within 5 minutes of my call, BUT I had to pay to ship back ($15 USPS). 4. They have not yet credited my card, but 'promise' to do so 'shortly' after they receive and inspect the items. I'll follow up to see if this happens ... Read More

This is a very cheaply made damper for older range venting systems that still have a 7" round vent pipe. Unlike the included rectangular damper, this one (not included in my Broan range hood) has no insulation between metal parts and thus is very noisy as the vented air passes through. Now we're forced to go through the extra time and expense of adapting the round pipe to the rectangular damper.

I've been using this range hood for about a month and it does its job just fine. It sucks up most of the smoke in high speed mode and sucks only about 50% of the smoke in slow mode. My only gripe is that this unit is quite loud in high-speed.

Broan range hood was ordered on June 29, 2008 and received on July 3, 2008. Item was crushed in one corner, maybe dropped during shipping...I had to wait for return label and send item back. I re-ordered same item and second item was received in good condition. I am happy with item but was greatly inconvenienced by the return. I love the black color!
