I really like the slow close feature and the price is not outrageous. This one is wood so it is nice and solid unlike the flimsy plastic ones... I was worried that being wood it would be too heavy to work... but the slow close works fine (maybe even a little on the slow side)... Only con is that it doesn't look as contemporary or streamlined as the others... but hey its a toilet seat cover...

After searching high and low for replacement seat covers for my new home, I came across this seat on Amazon. The price seemed more than reasonable for a real wooden seat and it also came in the elongated version. Other plastic seats were far more expensive but looked cheap and also did not appear to be destined for longevity. When it arrived, I was so amazed at the ease in installation and the quality construction. I would also recommend this cover to large dog owners as it foils the canine attempt to drink from the ever-filling porcelain drinking bowl.

Overall this is an OK seat for the price. After some moderate use it has developed an irritating tear in the side where the seam is but for [that price,] what do you expect.

This is a durable and well made wooden toilet seat. If it ends up having a flaw or lacks durability, I will add an addendum. It's price point is less or equal to the big box stores of similar quality but I have not seen this specific design.

The seat is nice-looking, comfortable and looks durable except for the plastic nuts that tighten underneath the bowl. They are difficult (and a bit painful) to tighten by hand- and if not tight, the seat can slip sideways. All in all, though, we are very pleased with the purchase.

Just installed toilet seat - will keep due to color, but disappointed w/quality. I have a new toilet seat cover that I can't use because the back of the lid is shaped differently and it's too WIDE for the standard toilet seat covers that match the bathroom rugs. I couldn't use the new hardware as the new nuts ran into toilet itself (just used old ones). The seat is not smoothly formed in 2 places, but those are in the back & won't show. There is a visible line on left front of seat (assume two pieces were joined there). The color does match but I wish more choices of the actual seat were offered so you could get a slightly different shape and/or a higher quality.
