We had aggregate stairs and landing installed in the front many years ago and then discovered you cannot use salt or any salt products on the stairs during our Chicago winters. I have used bare ground on the stairs for years. No, it doesn't prevent you from having to shovel but it does help prevent ice from forming on the stone when applied according to directions. It is expensive but I only use it on the stairs, everything else we salt.

I like it as it is not messy but you use it up too fast and I ordered the grandual type by bare ground. We have a steep drive and I can just throw it down when it snows so we can get back up the drive. It is not suppose to hurt the concrete.

I was tired of buying and using Roundup, hated to see the dying weeds for days afterwards, and had seen a similar product on a British gardening show, so I bought one; it was quite affordable. I like it, it is easy to use, easy to light, does a good job of eliminating weeds and does not leave those brown dying weeds for days. Helpful Hint/TIP: Do NOT use it on mulch; I tried that, and it set the mulch on fire. I'm sure the neighbors got a good laugh watching me put out the ensuing fires.(it seems there is a valid reason the product is called 'Bare Ground Propane Weed Torch', 'bare' being a very important key word) I now continue to use Roundup on mulched areas for weeds I can't easily pull, and I use the Garden Torch everywhere else. Good product, good value.

This product does a great job. I've been able to test it several times in the most recent storms of the northeast. The sqft amounts are a little off for me but I think if my driveway were sealed it would go farther in application. The driveway has nooks and crannies. So it must be coating all parts of the driveway. This product does work I've applied it well before a storm to walkways and the driveway and it does slow accumalation and makes it easy to remove the snow or ice after the storm is over. I like it especially for the walkways and steps leading to the patio as these areas I typical neglect and are a pain to shovel. Not anymore.... This is not on the product but on the supplier. My order has been in now for nearly 3 weeks and it is shown as in stock, yet I have still not received. Wanted before snow so could use on metal roof to prevent snow from sticking. The Sub Zero Liquid I used last year is twice the price, but I am now willing to pay the difference just so I can get the order. Snow in forecast today thru Friday. Extremely extremely disappointed beyond words.

This is a great product. I wish I had gotten the 55 gallon drum of it but finding storage area would be troublesome. The only problem is the shipping cost. It's 45.00 to send it from the manufacturer to you. For 45.00 plus the purchase price I can go outside and lick the ice off my driveway. It would be a good idea for them to ship a few pallets to Amazon's warehouse so the shipping wouldn't be so horrible. Other than that, it works.

Product does not work. Sprayer's (I bought two) leaks from the side getting the fluid all over shoes and legs. Solution does not prevent snow from accumulating or preventing ice build up. Shipping took over 5 weeks from order date.
