This is the second one of these saws I have purchased. The first one an iron bar fell on it and broke the handle. The blade is extremely sharp and is replaceable. It cuts on the forward stroke but even more on the backward stroke as there are 3 teeth at different angles. When you don't have a huge tree and don't want to bring the chain saw out this is the one to use. Highly recommended

I do not understand the negative review for these being small-- That is the point They are indeed extremely small, but for uses which require miniature shears, they are phenomenal. Extremely sharp, clean easily, and last forever--- and I can get into every little nook and cranny. Fantastic shears. Highly recommended.

I returned this lopper to Amazon because it was advertised as made in the USA and when I got it it was made in Mexico. That was over a month ago and the Amazon ad still says Made in USA. Maybe they got a different shipment or something. I didn't want to rate the lopper having never used it but they made me do it so I gave it 3 stars for looking like a quality lopper. I'm just trying to buy USA made stuff.

Like several others here, I also managed to break the whole head off of the tool. I wrote to the company and suggested they make a heavy-duty version. I also suggested a "cutter-mattock" in a heavy-duty model. The next thing I knew, I had another extendable hoe delivered. By then I had already bought a replacement for the original one. These are VERY useful tools but can't take rough usage. Also the grip required a dose of Gorilla glue to keep from sliding off. When I break the ones I have, I'll buy more. They are THAT good!

Product arrived intact and on time. Easily assembled, no missing parts. Pruner cuts easily, saw is very sharp. Cuts branches easily, and has plenty of reach. I think that if the people that have had problems with this product would use the product for what it is designed for, and not try to make it into a manual chain saw, they also would be pleased. It is not for heavy duty cutting of large branches, or lopping large branches. It is for light to medium pruning of medium sized limbs. For that job it is a good buy and a high quality tool.

This one functions well, well made. But it is too heavy for an average person to handle, especially at full extension. I don't use the saw after all. The cable may tangle with your trees braches during the operation.
