This pump worked great for draining my pondless waterfall the only problem was that the discharge is 1 1/4 and the hose I purchased was 1 1/"2 so off to the plumbing store for a jerry rigged adapter. I would have like the pump to come with 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" after all the discharge hose that they recommend is 1 1/2".

I bought this product to empty my hot tub. It empties it quicker then I can fill and clean it with my garden house. I like how a regular garden house can hook up to it. And you can use a water nozzle or sprinkler and water your garden at the same time. Good value and good overall product.

This was the second Factory Reconditioned Wayne Ulility Pump that I have ordered through Amazon. The first had a normal length power cord. However the second came with more than 12 ft. cord. Amazon should let us know if the product comes with widely different cord lengths.

Just received my pump at the end of March and so far no leaks. A breeze to install. One note, the fittings included in the package are of the white PVC variety. If you are going to be running hot water through the pipes it was recommended to me to switch to the black PVC variety to avoid long term warping problems.

I'm writing this review because I could not find any other reviews on this or a similar product that spoke to the particular issue I was dealing with. Hopefully this helps someone else! I bought this to drain about 6 inches of water from my retail store bought above ground pool. The drain plug in the pool unfortunately was up too high to completely empty it. I had to drain to remove algae and debris that had built up along the bottom that chemicals and the pools filter would not remove. This is not a permanent above ground pool mind you, it is one of the larger (5000 gallons) retail chain store pools.
