I wanted a powerful cordless to clean the carpets in my car. This unit works great. It not only picks up the lint and fuzz with ease, but it manages to go deep into the carpet fibers and pull out the dirt also. The built-in extension tube is really handy (especially when trying to get in between the seats of the car. I'm really impressed. If you think $70 is a bit steep for a cordless vacuum you should consider the Black & Decker 14.4 volt unit. I have that one of those too and, although I don't think it's powerful enough for the carpets in the car, it works great in the kitchen.

We recently bought this item based on need and reading the reviews here and so far we are quite please. It is a hundred times quieter than the last model we had and we both noticed a difference before the day was out in the living room area. There was a plastic smelling odor that was quite strong when we first started it up but it gradually decreased over a 12 hour period. I am really happy that we did do research on these items and actually found the perfect one for us. You won't find anything as quiet and give you the cleaner air as this one. We'll be happy for a long time. Thanks to all of you out there that do review items as it does help the intelligent buyer make the right decision.

I find these bulbs to be very bright and a great value!! They are a bit slow to start, that is to get to full brightness. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds for them to initially light, and another 30 seconds or so to be fully lit. Getting these new bulbs also got me around to FINALLY cleaning the lamp shades and globes:-)!!

Just bought a few sets of these for all our Candelabra base fixtures in our house (smaller than the usual light-bulb fixtures). These give off a pretty soft-white color and work well. The only issues is that they take a minute or so to warm up to full potential and are a bit bigger than the previous, regular 40w bulbs we were using. Otherwise, 9w vs 40w is a huge dip in our energy consumption ... especially since we have a candle-like structure that uses 6 of them! (54w vs 240w!!).

Bought some bulbs to replace 13 watt CFs - Please make sure they fit your fixtures. I have some older fixtures were this bulb was a bit too large.

I bought these bulbs to use in hanging pendant lights. The CFLs I had in the pendants were too long and hung out the bottom - just looked crappy. So I ordered these 'mini' lamps. Ha! Shame on me for believing 'mini' meant smaller. Not quite sure what Globe considers "mini" but these things are huge. They hung out of the pendant light further than the originals. I'll keep them because I can use them for some other fixtures. I ended up buying CFLs at Target - I think they're GE - much shorter and the pendants look much better.

Delivery was fast. The 13-watt is a little dim, but will get the 23-watt the next time.

The light is near indistinguishable from that of an incandescent bulb. Like all compact fluorescents, these take a few seconds to "warm up" to maximum brightness, but they turn on instantly. Besides the substantial energy savings and longer lifespan, these bulbs produce much less ambient heat than incandescents.

The bulbs emit light at least as bright as our old incandescents for far less wattage and heat. Our only adjustment is they come on dim and need a minute or so to brighten up. Leaving one strategically placed incandescent bulb per room to come on immediately helps that problem. One bulb arrived broken, and replacement was quick and highly satisfactory.

My wife and I loved the effect of this bulb, while it lasted. It was much brighter than any other black light (intended for consumers) we'd seen in the past. Unfortunately, it burnt out within about a month of light use (a few minutes a day). It may have just been a faulty bulb, but considering the high price (for a single bulb, anyway), I'd expect better quality control.
