I bought this hose to water plants on my balcony. It's too narrow and flimsy to be suitable for any heavier task. The 4th time I watered, the fitting that screws to the hose bib slipped out of the hose. Amazon would not send a replacement as I'd bought it more than 30 days prior. Plastair offered to repair it, if I paid shipping to Quebec. I have learned a lesson: Low ticket items bought from Amazon effectively have a 30 day warranty. If it breaks after that, shipping charges dominate the purchase price. Postscript a week later: Amazon granted a one time exception and swapped out the hose. Good marks for Amazon. The replacement hasn't broken yet.

This coiled water hose is very nice looking. I needed something I could leave out on my rooftop patio that wasn't an eyesore. This is it, the only problem I've had is leakage at the connecting points, but my husband has fixed it. I really like it.

I have been using Gilmour 3-tube soaker/sprinkler hoses for a number of years with moderate success. I recently purchased 20 more 50-foot soaker hoses to replace some old ones. About a third of the new hoses immediately developed large holes near the connectors where the three tubes are cut to form a single tube to attach to the connectors. If the hoses make it through the first use, they seem to be OK. Gilmour needs better quality control in their manufacturing process.

This hose is constructed as best as a $15.00 hose could be-don't expect more. Other reviewers were correct in stating that it DOES NOT extend the full footage as described-in fact it may be approximately one foot short of the actual length. Not a bad deal if you need a hose that won't be in your way, and don't want to spend a fortune.

This is one of the better hoses I used thru the years. It does kink occasionally, but much less than others I've tried (that's why I gave it a 4, not a 5.) It seems to me that there is no such thing as a hose that never kinks - but if it only kinks 2-3 times each time it's used rather than several times each time it's used - that's about as good as you can expect in this price range. I've also found what helps eliminate kinks is if the hose is stored on a hose reel after each use - this made a dramatic difference in the less expensive hose I had to use this past summer.

This product is of exceptional quality and value. I wouldn't but any other brand for any reason. Great Buy, Great Quality, No Problems.

I'm happy with this purchase. I wouldn't say it never kinks, but it's definitely better than a standard inexpensive hose. Its easy to wind without a reel, and not frustrating to unwind (it doesn't get fixed in its stored shape that it stays coiled up).

Difficult to find in stores, this Gilmour garden hose is top notch and a quality item. Very difficult to kink, but very flexible and relatively easy to handle. The 3/4" inner diameter size helps with providing optimum flow rate, making water the lawn faster in duration. The time and frustration you save pays for this hose many times over. Highly recommended.

This hose has fairly good couplings and works just fine. One reviewer mentioned lead. The paperwork does NOT mention lead. It does state this is for use other than drinking and should you want to drink from it use another product they sell. Aside from this, so what? We all drank from hoses as kids. One reviewer mentioned it was a bit heavy but manageable at 25'. I wish I'd bought a 50' since it's actually a fairly light hose. The hose is fine.

Just a quick review: We bought a couple of these hoses in 1999 and they have been in use and kept outside in the Southern California sun continuously for 9 years. The hoses are in perfect condition! Based on how long they last, they are also the cheapest hoses ever. We had to replace one because a construction crew drove over it repeatedly with a bulldozer, but that's hardly normal use. The Flexogen hoses are also much lighter than most high quality hoses. Highly recommended.
