Well worth the investment! On advice from others I bought two for constructing a bath vanity. They held the plywood panels together very snugly to counteract the Kreg screws tendency to pull a panel slightly inward.

I purchased this a few weeks ago (from Amazon) with the wide jaws because of the recommendations here. I agree buy the jaw set, in fact I think they should just be sold as one unit. I am very pleased and did not have any problems using the tool. It sure beats using a board and clamps. The distance from the edge of my saw's baseplate to the blade is not a nice even number. I made a little story stick (which I tend to misplace between projects) for this as I never remember the setting and would have to re-measure. I know there are many ways to do this but I like to do as few adjustments and measurements as possible. I have used a few frame jigs and this one is hands down the best! I have used it on 4, 5 and 6 sided projects and it never fails to provide perfect corners. Upon opening the box, i saw a piece of plastic.......im tough on plastic things, tools should be made out of steel, aluminum....etc. Well needless to say, I plan on buying 3 more so I can maximize my frame making time. This is one Plastic tool I dont mind hanging in my shop.

Okay -- I'm not a pro, but not an amateur either.... I've done cabinets without this tool and I just did one with this tool. There is no comparison! This tool makes hanging cabinets a BREEZE! You can get the cabinet faces lined up very nicely, drill and counter-sink your screws, pull the cabinet claws and you're done. This tool makes this job SOOOOOOO easy! As some reviews have said -- you're a bit "blind" when you drill the holes because you can't really see into the drill holes/guides. However, as long as your drill is straight and you take the time to mark your drill bit you wont have to worry about the big coming out of the face of the cabinet or thru the other side. After owning the Bessey clamps and using them for years, I was under the impression that they where the King of clamps. However, the Jet Clamps have put them to shame. When ever I go for glue up now, I reach for the Jet clamps. They are so much easier to use and the clamping pressure is excellent. I would highly recommend them.

I have a couple of these clamps as well as the quick grip bar clamps and C clamps and spring clamps. They all have their perfect uses. These handi clamps are great for what I use them for, which is to hold materials together. I have used it to keep cabinet faces tight while installing screws (not to support the weight), for jigs that will not suffer a great deal of lateral pressure, holding drawer box faces flush while installing runners...etc. For these things they are good. They are not good for all the things you would imagine a quick, compact, light duty clamp would not be good for. Get the right tool for the job and you will not have as many disappointments. They won't replace your bar clamps, and they shouldn't be your first clamps, but they have earned their place in my line ... Read More

Bought these from Amazon in 2006 and love them ever since. These clamps are sturdy and quick to use. I accidentally left them near the lawn for a few days while working on a project. No rusting. I'd highly recommend them.

I am a general contractor and do many of the smaller jobs as well. I have owned a competitor's 48" brand for years and love using it on the bottom of doors for a straight cut. I had been looking for an 8'version so I could use it to rip down the width of doors plus plywood accurately. When I ran across this, I was excited and purchased it immediately. I have used it on several applications and I can tell you it is worth it's weight in gold. I must say that there is a slight glitch in it's use but once you understand it, it is not a problem. The slight glitch is that sometimes you have to "reset" the locking mechanism with your finger to re-establish the locking ability. Once you figure this out, it's not a problem.
