Spent more than this on a 6 piece set at Home Depot recently and ended up returning them when I saw this kit online. Shipping was prompt and everything was as it should be when the kit arrived. These are not "high end" professional tools....but that being said this kit is a tremendous value for the beginner looking for an affordable, and relatively complete, starter kit. Quality of the tools in this 18 pice set are on par with what I saw for the 6 piece set (which I paid more for) so I'm pretty happy to have a better variety at a lower cost. Maybe I'll want to invest more and upgrade someday but for now this strikes me as an excellent value.

At half the price of a SIX piece set of woodturning chisels from my local store, this EIGHT piece set seemed like another no brainer for a beginning turner. Other reviews had mentioned that the storage box that comes with the tools would likely be destroyed in the shipping process, but mine arrived in first class condition. I took the set to a tool sharpening class and everyone there, including the instructor, was very impressed with both the quality and the price. Several people said they were going to order a set!

Is it me, or what? Once I router cut a door-hinge mortise using a Porter-Cable hinge mortise jig, I can't seem to get the Porter-Cable corner chisel far enough back in the corner of the router cut to get the edges lined-up. After I use the corner chisel, I still need to a wood chisel to take out a little more in order to make a perfect corner. It almost looks like I need to do a little grinding work on the corner chisel with the bench grinder to make it align properly.

This is a quality leather working tool. I am only an occasional user and purchased it for adding holes to the leather strap for my daughter's shoes and a similar purpose for adding holes in my wife's belts. The small punch size fit the narrow shoe strap and the tool works very well. Before I purchased this tool, I was using a drill bit and hammer and nail combination which I found too tedious. I don't know enough about leather tools to judge how an experienced leather worker would enjoy using it, however, I can definitely recommend it for anyone who occasionally needs to punch leather.

Bag is heavy duty and well made. Various pouch sizes allow a variety of tools to be held. I ordered tools at the same time from Oriental touch, I was not satisfied with having to pay separate shipping of $5 for the bag arriving at separate times

This is one of the best tools sets that I have ordered and put to work. The wooden storagecase is very nice and built well.

These chisels are simply beautiful. I like the look of the handle a lot. They are nice companion for my Japanese blue steel chisels.

For what I paid, I am well pleased. The construction is rugged and can take repeated hits from a hammer all day long. The corner chisel blade could stand a sharpening out of the box (which isnt all that easy to do). Still, a great little tool to bring with you for cleaning up corners of door hinge mortises.
