This is EXACTLY what I hoped it would be. Takes the nail right off without any pressure at all. I tried it on myself first and it took my nail right off..almost too easily. But I learned the pressure to give it. Battery seems to last a really long time. I am doing just a little tiny bit at a time until they (3 pooches)get use to the vibration. So far they don't mind too much, but I am very careful to not burn them by doing only a sweep over the nail.

The cordless dremel is not just a hobby tool. We have found so many uses for it and have one for the garage and one for the house. It recharges quickly and holds a charge for several days. We find it to be indispensible around the house- from fine detail sanding, taking burrs off metal, making cutouts in sheetrock or tile, even as a podiatry tool. This tool is a real winner.

It is light and powerful, and the LED worklight is a nice addition. The compact size is very handy when working in tight quarters. The chuck covering is a little soft, and it got very scuffed up and is rough from doing some close work to a screw head. At least it looks used, now. The case is cheap and clunky, but I will be using a tool bag for storage and transportation. The biggest annoyance with this unit is the lack of on-board driver storage. I used this saw to install a very hard stranded bamboo floor (over 3000 on the janka scale), and when cutting the bamboo, the saw only bogged down slightly.. everything else I've cut with it is no problem at all! Hold out for 99$ price, and with free shipping, it pays for itself in no time. Not sure why the description STILL says this unit has a laser.. it doesn't. Packing is a bit lacking, though my saw arrived in good shape.

This product is perfect speed for all my needs: -- At the office to sand down patient toenails. -- At home to drill, sand, cut stuff. I love the increased number of speeds. I still have an original Dremel that works; at that time one had to go to Radio Shack to purchase a solenoid to control the speeds for different jobs. My father, a physician, got quoted $800 for that back in the 1970's. This is an A+++ product.

We wanted something that can be used to file the dog's nails and to use for other small projects around the house. This dremel tool is good for what we need. Only problem- it gets a bit hot when left to file for more than a second or two, so we need to be careful on the dog's feet.

This little jewel performs flawlessly! I was a little concerned about it being cordless but do not fear... it is a POWERHOUSE! Also, this is a great deal compared to other places I shopped, Amazon does make everything easier!

I was looking for a corded oscillating tool and looked at the Fein Multitasker and blades, but it is just way too expensive to purchase for my needs. So I bought the Dremel and the Rockwell to compare side by side... The $100 Dremel is lighter and a bit smaller but the buzz the motor makes compared to the Rockwell motor [a little bit heavier and slightly bigger] which humms smoothly is like comparing a Vespa scooter to a Victory street bike. Since the basic Rockwell is only $20 more than the Dremel and the extra blades are about the same price, there was no question about going for the quality/durability of a Rockwell.
