I bought this to carry with me on motorcycle rides and camping trips. It has yet to let me down. Battery life is amazing, the clip is durable and even after all the vibrations from a 5+ hour motorcycle trip it doesn't slide off the flashlight body.

If you like this design, you might want to check out the work of the craftsman whose tool design was copied without permission for this tool. Peter Atwood has been making a tool called the "Prybaby" that has an almost identical design minus the clumsily added knife blade. Gerber has never contacted Mr. Atwood but just copied the design and made small modifications to evade patent issues. Fortunately, Peter has a lot more ideas, though given how successful this one is, Gerber will probably copy the rest of them. Buying this product is a great way to send your dollars to Chinese slave factories where stolen products are manufactured instead of supporting innovative American toolmakers. It's your choice.

This is a great knife. Very heavy and well balanced. What I don't like is the sheath. It is too busy and complicated, yet, barely useful. Friction clip is too tight and way too many straps and ties. A simple sheath with a belt loop would have been worthy of 5 stars.

I had this knife for a little over a year. I was in the Boy Scouts (I have since left for college and can't really make the meetings, since they're two hours away from my dorm...) and this was incredibly useful at all of our different outings. I personally like how the tool opens at the flick of your wrist, and once you close it, it stays closed until you want it open. I have a similar tool that won't stay closed or completely open, either. I say "had" because two years ago, it was stolen from me and I haven't seen it since. I highly reccommend this for anybody in the Scouting program or if you do a lot of camping with your own family.

This is a solid well balanced hatchet. You can easily cut down trees up to four inches or so. The saw is a nice addition but it will come loose from the axe handle if you really get into your cutting. This item is much more useful than the cheap camp axes sold at most retail stores.

I would easily recommend this knife to anybody who thinks it would be nice to have. The opening mechanism is slick and effective without coming off as automatically scary or threatening when used sensibly. I think this knife could be considered a good safety item for someone that spends a lot of time in a boat, air plane, or pretty much any vehicle. If you are ever caught in a situation where you only have one hand/arm available and you need to cut something, like if you were in an accident and needed to cut a seatbelt off but its holding down one arm, this would be the knife to have, and its small enough to always be near and not take up a lot of space or add a lot of weight.
