3M uses Scotch for its tape and it is the only way to go. I once used some cheap insulation kit and the tape included did not stick well.

I tried this product because it was less expensive than other brands. I have nothing to compare it to in the sense I've never used the more expensive brands prior. But the directions were easy to follow, the tape and plastic stayed taut all winter, the breezes were alleviated, and my heating bills were half that of my neighbor in the adjacent apartment even though I didn't freeze. I'll use this brand again next year if it's still the best price.

Argued with my husband over the necessity for this window film (this one is sliding door-sized, but we also got window-sized) and I won. He has had to admit that I was right! Not only did our heating bill go way down this winter (which had record snowfall for our area), but the house had no drafts and was much more comfortable. Definitely worth the money and easy to use. Done right, you really don't even see the film. We had it on all the bedrooms, the basement windows, the sliding glass door and the den doors. We put it on the window frame, enclosing our blinds (adjusted to an angle I would be happy with all winter), and sealed it up. You can put it inside the window frame, as well. These are great. We have them in garage windows and I cannot believe how rich they look. No problem at all to install. For the price, even if they last a couple years, I would then replace them

I didn't really see how this would possibly work, but we were cold and could feel the draft coming in through the window. After a painless installation process (we followed the instructions to a T), we're rather pleased with the results. The draft is definitely gone!

Every year I say I'm going to cover the windows and every year I don't. This year however I looked on Amazon and found the right product for the right price. I even got the nine pack which worked out well because I turned one sheet sideways and used it to cover two smaller kitchen windows. I followed the directions and cleaned the surface once with cleaner and when I was ready to apply the tape I cleaned again with Alcohol. The first one was a little crooked (but still worked) but by the time I got to #4 it was smooth sailing. I can feel them move slightly in the breeze so I know that they are keeping the cold out. I would definitely recommend this product. ps I'm a not so young lady and I did it all by myself.

Ten minutes after I hung these shades, exactly as directly, they fell down. After purchasing some additional heavy duty, 2 sided adhesive to rehang they have worked nicely. It would have been nice if an adequate adhesive had been included and I did not have to make a trip to the store...
