The heater is working fine, but it could have a faster recovery period. Hot water, really hot water is not immediately available all the time. The thing we like best is that we are no longer running a gallon and a half of water down the drain or into empty milk containers before hot water comes to the kitchen tap. We live in the California desert and water is very precious.

I used this for a replacement water heater in my travel trailer. I did not fit in the origianal space, so I installed it in the closet space and connected it with the original plumbing with plastic hose. You have to be plugged in to use it, but other than that it works great and at a cost of about 2/5th of what an RV water heater would cost.

My wife reminded me that our children and grandchildren were due to visit our cottage in one week, but not hot water. I placed my order on line and it was delivered in 3 days. Hot water at the cottage in 4 days. Wow it only took me 15 minutes to install. Then hot showers for all on the weekend. We purchased and installed the Model AE125 in November 2006 based on the Bosch name and its 10 year warranty for the heater elements. The unit failed earlier this week and despite assurances in the description that the outlet temperature is controlled, scalding water came out of the shower, burned me, and then the unit shutdown. Reseting the thermal overload only produced more scalding water for a minute and then another trip. Attempts to contact Bosch meant long phone waits and trying to use the email to contact support on their website have proven useless. Bottom line: we're very disappointed in Bosch and their failure to live up to their warranty claims and their design of a product that is downright dangerous when it fails. When our hot water heater went out I began gathering information on water heaters. Because I am on a well and live in a draught stricken area watching 4 gal. of water go down the kitchen drain every time I needed hot water was nerve racking. I was considering putting the new water heater on the back porch closer to the kitchen and redoing the plumbing. Then I saw this little gem. It is the only one I saw that you could install in line with your house hot water. My daughter had the same problem so I bought 2. It wash't bad to hook up. Great product. Will give you enough hot water even for the new england cold weather area. You will need to fine tune the water flows and consider the anti-scalding faucets to reduce cold water intake, because you might get too much cold water flow. Once you balance the flow you will get a very nice hot shower!! something worth to install.

Bought two of these for a 4900 sq ft house. Split the house, one for master bath and other bed rooms, other for kitchen and utility area. They worked well but only lasted about 3 years. Forget trying to get service from the factory, it is a joke. Located in Miami, if someone does answer the phone, you better speak Spanish. Building a new home now but i think I will go with a more reputable brand at a higher cost.

After consulting with an electrician and finding the electric or natural gas tank would be too costly to hook up, I was happy to find the LP version. I had a plumber all set up to install this and he never showed, so after a week or so of hesitation, I installed it myself in basically a couple hours (not including trips to hardware stores). The main issue for installation (since it was outside) was getting the right hookup for the propane tank. To use the regulator included, you cannot just buy a hose at Home Depot or Lowe's.
