Last year I planted a tree and didn't know if I was giving it too much or too little water. This year I have this handy device to help me. The directions say it's for house plants, but it's working great for my newly planted trees. I can finally tell when they need water and can avoid over watering.

It seems to work Great care must be taken in opening the capsules as they contain a very loose powder and the aim is to put them in a very small hole. I recommend doing it over a plate so spillage can be recovered.

I saw many negative reviews so I must report I have had a different experience. I tend to use potting mix or loamy soils so I don't know if that is a factor. However in meter seems to report put water as maximum as I expect. With soils I known to be completely dry is reports as dry. In one section where I have peas it quickly reports as being on the dry side as I would expect as they are heavy water users when making pods. I would certainly test against known conditions to make sure the unit is working but it certainly has made is much easier for me to quickly gage water.

I used it on stink bugs that were invading my home, and it did stop them well, but for waht I thought was an organic product, this had a very strong chemical odor.

Agree with Mr. Moore, thing is stuck on ph 7. Have tried Diet Pepsi (ph 3.2) and milk (ph 6.3) and it doesnt budge. Milk does show a "C" on the moisture meter.

I read about Neem Oil being the most potent broad based pesticide and fungicide known to man. This intrigued me since I was making effort to grow my garden organically and was having problems with pests even with chemical usage. I decided to try this neem oil myself on my vegetable garden. The results are just amazing! Nothing eats my plants anymore, pests are in check both above and below the ground. I can spray plants with the neem oil mixture and also treat the soil for cutworms, nematodes etc. This product seems to provide a force field of protection leaving the plants to grow full leaves, good blossoms and turn into fruit. I no longer use any type of chemical. I have discarded them all and now i only have one item - NEEM OIL. Try it. You'll never need anything else.
