I bought this to make more space in the shed that we use for storage of the family's four bikes. It works, but it is not easy for the average 5th grader to use. Application: Lift a 28 pound bike high enough to put another similar road bike underneath it. Make this easy enough that a 5th grader can do it. Result: 5th grader can accomplish this, but it is difficult enough that both she and her mother complain about it. Thus, the 3 stars. This unit makes the job possible, but not easy. Issues: 1. decent value for the money. mine wouldn't balance the load very well. It would lift the front very far before balancing the rear. This is probably due to cheap pulleys. I can't dog it too much, it is very inexpensive.

I've been trying to clean and organize my garage so that both cars can fit. this is most space effective method I could find for two bikes. The stand is sturdy and Racor's customer service is the best. One of the arms didn't fit so I called them and they shipped me an new arm within a day and a half.

After much research, I decided to go with this bike rack. We have an infant that is learning how to crawl and I needed some way to put our bikes up so he couldn't get into them. We were also looking for something that would be stable yet didn't have to be attached to the wall. This rack was easy to assemble and fits the bill. I would highly recommend it to someone in a small apt.

To be honest I had my doubts this would hold up 2 mountain bikes (although both aluminum) but it is quite sturdy. The third time putting the bikes on the rack though, the rubber coating ripped off of one of the supports, I'm going to have to wrap tape around it to keep it from coming all the way off. I'm sure I should have lifted the bike higher instead of just pulling the bike off and it may not have happened. Also be sure to pre-drill for the mounting screws as they are fatties. I stripped one pretty good trying to skip that step. All in all an good solution for storing your bikes up and out of the way.

This rack does what it says. Really easy to set up and frees up so much space. Holds my family's 4 bikes of varying sizes. And, Amazon had the best price. I had it in 3 days.

I'm not sure if these have just gotten worse lately, or what, but the latest reviews are telling of what the current product is like. I bought two of these units for my garage. These arrived in a huge box from Amazon, and were packaged very well, with no visible signs of damage. I opened the first box, and started going through the instructions (mostly decent, could use some extra steps), and checking the fit of everything, after noting some of the reviews. Everything seemed to fit inside the track during inspection, and the parts seemed of decent quality. When I started assembly of the first unit, I installed the track.
