I ordered this product, and received it in 2 days with free shipping!, and just finished assembling it. Very easy to do. It is very light weight and easy to manuver. My parts question is, what spare parts should I have on hand? I'm quessing the rotor itself, the belt, the scraper, and maybe the the handle and shear pin? Were can these parts be found? Sears has a appliance parts web site and a another site called repairclinic.com but what about a local Toro dealer or the Toro web site itself? PS: No snow yet so I cannot say how well it works.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NEWER MODEL 38361. IT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE OLDER MODEL 38360. I read other reviews and did research before purchasing this product. And I agree with the consensus. If you use it for what it was intended, it really works great. I'm a veteran of over 50 Wisconsin winters, so I know a little bit about snow. For snow that is 6-8" deep or less, and that isn't of the wet, heavy variety, it cuts through quickly, and gets down to bare pavement easily. If you need something for wet or deeper snow, get a snowblower. This is not advertised as a substitute for a snowblower. But for light to moderate snow it's fantastic. I had to laugh. Absolutely the best snow mover ever! Had one of these for many years. A pleasure to use as it moves large amounts of snow with minimal effort. Unfortunately it went missing last winter. Came to Amazon to order a replacement today. I was amazed to find that they are unwilling to ship to Alaska. Apparently our reputation for such a moderate and tropical climate has convinced them we could not possibly need an item such as this. As my family is slowly buried in snow this winter I will be sure to remind them that Amazon knows best.

I purchased this product after reading other reviews and seeing the product in the store. It is very simple and easy to put together, but when it comes to putting the fabric on, you want two people! It fits very tight!!. With two people its a piece of cake !! Very nice product for the money..

I have one of these and find it a perfect compromise between utility, size, and storage needs for the car. Note that while the description says it extends for long reach, that's still only about 3 feet. That's just fine for taking along in your car for the occasional dig-out, but you'll get tired of using really quickly if you are thinking of using it for your front walk! The push-button mechanism for the handle extension is easy to use, the blade and handle are strong, and the extension of the handle into the blade ensures long-life, unlike some models that are pinned into a short socket only. You want stainless steel, as in this shovel, when you are storing a shovel in your car - you don't want it rusting in your trunk, staining everything it touches.

I have an extremely long and steep driveway -- so steep that the plow attachment on my lawn tractor is useless (once I plow down the driveway, I can't get the tractor back up, since the tractor plow leaves a thin layer of snow, which the tractor can't overcome even with wheel weights and chains). So two seasons ago I bought one of these, and found that I could clear the driveway more quickly and effectively than with my tractor! We didn't buy through Amazon - we used QVC. QVC mailed us some plastic bags instead of our snow thrower, so we haven't had a chance to use this product. We'd like to, because we're in the middle of a record snow fall in Southern Wisconsin. But, QVC isn't in a hurry or interested in expediting our real order to us. Our first tip that the QVC box in the mail didn't contain our snow blower was that the box was 1" tall and 5" wide. The invoice states that it's a snow thrower, but the plastic bags just can't move several inches of snow like, uh, a snow thrower. David, the customer service rep, says the order pickers probably "grabbed the items from the wrong bin." I bought this after our first big snowfall in December (07). Our gas blower crapped out on us last winter. In Wisconsin, we had our second highest total December snowfall on record. January is now over and so far we have had a ludicrous amount of snow. So my Snow Fox has been used extensively already. I would say a 4.5 star rating is more accurate. But you can't select a half star. We have an average size Madison city driveway and sidewalk. For snow 2" to 6", using the Snow Fox makes far more sense then using a gas blower. For 6" to 12" it still does a fine job. It's light enough to easily push with one hand. The other hand guides the extension cord. It clears the snow just as fast as a single stage gas blower. I love this thing! It does exactly what it's supposed to do! It has great power and sturdiness without being to heavy or hard to manuver for women/elderly/teens.
