I have been using this product for the last 2 months. I installed it myself and found the instructions straight forward and easy to understand. I modified the default settings which are recommended for the most energy savings and my usage, for the last 2 months compared to the same months last year, has decreased noticeably. The program is also easy to override on the days I am home and want a little more heat.

The fans are great, very quiet and I love the remote control. It was super easy to put together and install.

I used to have a similar unit before, and that one worked perfect. This unit has many negative aspects. Some of the other reviews talk about the bad range, but I believe it's the bad quality of the transmitter. The unit will work or not work from wherever, there's no system in that, but if you keep the remote in the same location and hit the same buttom a few times, it will work... The fan speed controls seem to work OK, that's the only star this unit deserves. The light control is very bad quality. I have two of these units, and the light button on both units tend to stick, so you have to play with them to release them again. I like this fan because it blends in with the ceiling and doesn't look like a big ugly ceiling fan with stupid looking ugly lights on it. No "fake" wooden blades. No ugly brass. It's about as "simple" as you can get, quiet as it could possibly be, and inexpensive. It is my opinion that ceiling fans should be "felt" and not seen or heard! We put this in a guest bedroom and it replaced a hideous looking LOUD "Hampton Bay" from Home Depot that was quite frankly shameful. lol My husband did not understand why I chose no lights on it until it was installed and he could see how much nicer the room looked just with lamp lighting and no ugly fan lights.

This fan is so quiet while taking a shower, I sometimes think it is not even on! The overhead light is not too bright because it takes the miniature 60 watt bulbs, but it emits a fair amount of light. The nightlight is nice to have during the night and emits enough light to see by when making a trip during the night. The fan was easy to wire and rough in and looks great in my newly remodeled bathroom. There are other brands that look like this, but why buy those when this is the best name in the industry?!

The grill cover is 9 1/2 at the widest point, tapering to 9" at the corners. NOT 10" as stated on the manufacture site. The fan is a squirrel cage design, not the cheaper centrifical blade type. It is suppose to move 80 CFM, but I think that is an xaggeration, because I have a cheaper centrifical 50CFM in another room and it moves more air. The fan is fairly quite.

This fan was a great value. It's very nice looking and is the perfect size for the two small bedrooms (11 by 11 and 10 by 14) we installed it in. It has several speeds and is very quiet at all of them. The one challenge is that the recommended installation left a one inch gap between our ceiling and the fan collar. We removed the cushioned spacers and that cut the gap in half, but there is still a gap there. You'd never notice it if you just walked into the room, but it bothered me when I installed it.

Hunter has a great reputation and a home renovator friend recommends only that brand, so I have restricted my choices only to Hunter. This one is a nice, quiet fan/light for a moderate price. There were a couple of problems. The screws didn't precisely fit the ceiling dome--I had to go to Home Depot and find similar screws that fit better. It's hard enough holding the assembly against the ceiling while pushing a screw in, and then to discover that the screw simply doesn't thread in smoothly is an annoyance. The other problem was a piece of rubber gasket hanging out of the motor assembly that caused a click on each rotation of the fan. I cut it off and the fan has been fine ever since. Still, it's a blot on Hunter's reputation and keeps me from giving it 5 stars. I put in ... Read More

This fan is very nice looking and is a great quality. However, if you need a downrod, Hunter does NOT offer one in "brushed bronze", which is crazy as they offer every other color in the rainbow. We called Hunter customer support and they suggested that the closest match would be antique bronze. We purchased this color as suggested, but it DID NOT match. We ended up buying a "brushed bronze" downrod from a competitor (I think Westinghouse??). This was not an exact match, but was close enough to look good (much better than the antique bronze looked). Also, I'm not crazy about the harshness of the CFL lightbulb, which is why I only gave it a 4-star.
