I bought this in frustration after trying to accurately measure several rooms of my house with a steel tape. Besides furniture being in the way, I found that my numbers weren't adding up with the tape if I measured the same distance two ways like going around the room or subtracting out small walls and stuff. With the laser, everything is dead on. They say the accuracy is 1/4" over 100 feet and that seems true. You'll get slightly greater variation though in some cases because the device doesn't contain any sort of level and the case is not completely flat on any side. Therefore, it takes a little practice to know if you're shooting a straight line or a slight angle. This tripod has everything you need to get to work. The quick clamp legs adjust easily and stay where you set them. This is an inexpensive tripod that I would not use for everyday use on a construction site, as I do not believe it would hold up to heavy use. But for a small project and with care, this will hold up for many years of use. Great for occasional use. As with all tools, take care of you tools and they will last..., throw this item in the back for you truck and the clamped legs will likely break off.

It arrived on time and works quite well. I won't use it often but what a handy tool when you need it!

I have used mine for 6 or 7 years in highway patrol work, mostly for measuring crash scenes. Thus it has operated in the hot and cold, wet and dry. It lives in the crowded trunk of my car year round. Performance has been flawless. I have checked it for accuracy against a tape measure and it is right on. The combination of small wheel and 3 section telescoping handle make it very compact. You could probably carry it in a briefcase. Mine has often been used under conditions of urgency, and as I said, poor weather. Typically, mine is used on road pavement, taking measurements of sometimes several hundred feet, and occasionally done while at a slow run. Great if you need a straight line. Lasers are fairly bright, but you'll need to use a target most of the time to see the line clearly. Wish it had some sort of leveling feet for when you are using it as a square. Otherwise, well worth the price. Have not checked levels for accuracy.

I have not tested the accuracy yet but for what this laser can do it is great. You get a quick level for anything that need to be level on a job. Furthermore you get the vertical and horizontal if you need it like for tiling walls. So far I am pretty happy with the product and it is quite cheap.

Bought this product for my father, so I can't really tell how good it is. But father says it's good, the only awkward thing is that when used on tripod and because the viewfinder is located on the side panel sometimes it's not convenient to look into the viewfinder. He saay that it's a good quality product, and it has international manual which comes in handy sometimes.

I am very happy with this laser level. I bought it for shelves and cabinets, but have used it for lots of stuff. I have used it intermittently for about a year. The pole is unique to this product, and very useful. I have used it both in the house for lining up a drop-ceiling and in the garage for making level marks on a truck shell to put rack supports. The mounting bracket is standard, so will go on a camera tripod. Recently I used it to level the framing for a 12' x 28' deck I am building. It is not bright enough to use on a sunny day, but at dusk it was plenty bright enough. The trick for the deck was to use a tripod so I could spin it and check the level of the entire deck.
