I find these bulbs to be very bright and a great value!! They are a bit slow to start, that is to get to full brightness. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds for them to initially light, and another 30 seconds or so to be fully lit. Getting these new bulbs also got me around to FINALLY cleaning the lamp shades and globes:-)!!

Blue?? These are white not blue. They are also not the horrible red/yellow like an incandescent bulb. I have 30 of these - the only lights in my house. Save lots of energy and have brilliant white light.

the bulbs i received were not lights of america 9024B bulbs, but some other generic brand with your name on them. why was this not disclosed to me before purchase?

I bought a 2-pack of Sylvania Candelabra base CF at Lowes. One bulb was bad. I took them back and bought two 2-packs. From these 4 bulbs, one of them was bad. I then bought a 3-pack of Standard base Sylvania CF bulbs at Home Depot. One of these three bulbs was bad. I was reluctant to purchase the no-name brands but it is apparent that the Sylvania brand is a piece of crap. Another gotch is that if you buy a multi-pak and one is bad you have to return all the bulbs. If you buy them in single packs you pay a lot more. I'd stay away from Sylvanias until they do something about their QC.

This night lite is great, perfect even. Some people have complained about it not being bright enough. Well, for me it's perfect, I didn't want one that was too bright. When it's dark, this little guy gives off a nice glow that allows me to see fine, and it's a beautiful clean illumination.

A simple product. Low energy usage (using LEDs). Low energy usage (goes off during the day). Adjustable - make it shine into the room, along the wall, or against the wall (for indirect light). Good product.

Just bought a few sets of these for all our Candelabra base fixtures in our house (smaller than the usual light-bulb fixtures). These give off a pretty soft-white color and work well. The only issues is that they take a minute or so to warm up to full potential and are a bit bigger than the previous, regular 40w bulbs we were using. Otherwise, 9w vs 40w is a huge dip in our energy consumption ... especially since we have a candle-like structure that uses 6 of them! (54w vs 240w!!).

I have never imagined a more worse product. It is amazing that even nowadays stores like Brookstone come up with such junk. -You will get blue screen, if you install the software on Vista -Your XP will hang , if on XP -You CANNOT scan multiple photos. You have do it manually each and every time. Every time you scan, you will also get the image of the plastic frame, your photo is encased. You have to manually crop it off. -The manual that came with it, has been written by a 4th grader. Recap:Do not waste gas, or time, buying this. PS: unfortunately, I have to give atleast one star (what a waste!) Amazon: Stop carrying such junk.
