Water that's been filtered by PUR is noticeably tastier than water from other filters. I had been using Brita for years but when the dispenser broke, I researched water filters on Amazon and was pleased to see that PUR offered a superior filter. I have been using PUR for over a year now and am very pleased at the result. I will not stinge on the quality to save a few bucks. Water is too important a component of my diet and good health to mess with.

I ordered these to replace the filter in our refrigerator. They came when they were supposed to, had instructions just like they were supposed to, and fit just like they were supposed to. I guess they filter the water, since I don't see any stuff in the water when I get it out of the fridge dispenser.

Pur filters are one of the best filters for removing a high number of contaminants plus they are easy to install. The water tastes so much better when it is filtered; it's easy to drink lots of water every day.

I purchased two of these dispensers in January 2008. One I keep in my refrigerator, the other on the counter top. I purchased four four-packs of filters with the units, and I still have two of those left, after almost a year of daily use. I absolutely love these dispensers and have had absolutely no problem with leakage or anything else. The dispenser is very easy to carry with insert-handles on either side that are easily gripped. When the dispenser is almost empty I take it to the sink, fill it up and then wait for the water to filter down a little bit before returning it to the area where I keep it. When I installed the new filter I didn't realize that we would go through a period where the water tasted "funny", at least that's how my wife described it. It took about a week for the taste of the water to return to normal. That was the only thing that I didn't realize when I replaced the filter. Besides that it worked fine.

I usually buy my filters through Sears where I purchased my refrigerator. I saved alot of money buying through Amazon and you can even save more as they offer cheaper prices for each one when you buy multiples. Thanks Amazon.com!

After going through several Pur faucet filters that would unexpectedly spring a leak, I decided to give this Culligan a try and so far we love it! Pros: - Good price compared to Pur or Brita - Filter automatically reverts to off position when water is turned off - Very easy installation - Filter is small and takes up less space around the sink Cons: - Does not have built-in indicator for filter replacements To me, the taste has been fine - the water tastes like water, just as it should! Overall, very highly recommended!
