Like previous Garmin products we have used the 478 GPS receiver is easy to use. Keep the directions handy to switch between "street and marine" use. Bought the unit for a marine chartplotter backup but now use it for street navigation as well.

This is the best heart rate monitor I've ever owned. I'm a physician and a triathlete and fitness nut. This is the best one I've owned thus far. It is by far the most durable in terms of build quality. I currently own the Garmin 405, T4c, and the T6c. The T6c is the most durable and reliable of the three. The build quality of the t4c is a joke. Having the GPS on the 405 is nice but constantly having to recharge the watch is a real pain. I travel a lot and its just plain inconvenient. Save yourself the money and get the T6c.

I just received this and tried it last night at the gym. I was able to set up the clock and figure out how to use the heart monitor but I can't for the life of me figure out how to work the pedometer. I did figure out how to set up my personal settings but how the heck do I check my status? Push this button, push that button? Push mode and then feature 1 through 11? This is for Dummies? I expected to be able to push one button and see my progress. For such a simple looking device it sure is complicated! I should have stuck with the old fashioned kind.

After ordering, receiving and having to return 3 of these watches, I give up. Apparently Amazon and some of the companies that sell through Amazon have received a defective batch of watches from the manufacture. All 3 watches, had START buttons that would not depress making it impossible to even get the watches to activate. Amazon was great about returns but doesn't appear to be taking measures to correct the products shipped so buyer beware if you're looking to order one of these. You too maybe be spending your time going to and from the Post Office.

My 1st Pedometer was a gift for walking in the March for Baby walkathon from the March of Dimes; I did not like it but I like the concept of knowing how many steps I take during the day. I went to my favorite place besides Macy to shop...'Amazon' and found this one. The price was right and I was skeptical but let me tell you it is the best thing since slice bread. I hook it on 1st thing in the morning and it stays in place even when at the gym. I was surprised when wearing it without a belt with my athletic wear it stayed in place through all the rigorous exercises and classes. During the day you hear a beep indicating it is time to take your pulse and heart rate. This bargain is well worth it and more.

I love the heart rate monitor. I love knowing how many calories I burn in my workouts, my trainer is even using it now to gauge how hard he is working me. But I have to say untill you start sweating it has a hard time picking up an accurate heart rate, make sure you do what it says and wet the back of the sensor a bit. I do love that a lot of cardio equipment automatically picks up the polar sensor!!!

Recently bought this altimeter. It's very easy and simple to use, don't have to worry about batteries. Tested resently on mt.Washington, NH. Indicates elevation with accuracy... Plannig to use it on our next trip to much higher elevation. Barometer is usefull too-specially if you stay on mountain for a few days. I would recommend this product. Price is nice as well... compare to digital ones...

I bought this unit a couple of weeks ago and played at one of my local courses .The gb left out the tree in the middle of the fairway. I was a little bummed but thought I`d try another course, well that wasn`t so good also . I was standing at the 100 marker on a par five and it was telling me I was at 120. Well as you know that can`t happen so back to the skycaddie 2.

The Mio is an okay heartrate monitor. It works most of the time, but can be temperamental. When it doesn't work right, it makes you wonder how accurate the readings are altogether.
