I've spent plenty of money on pedometers that never seemed to work for me. The clips would break, the number of steps were never accurate, they'd fall off... never to be seen again. Until I found this one. This current model has a really COOL color scheme, but the underlying product is PHENOMINAL. For those reviews that say they "lost" their pedometer due to a falty clip, the only thing I can say there is they must not have engaged the safety strap that I clip to my belt loop to avoid such a situation. Of course, as a male, I wear pants with a belt loop, and so this has never been a problem. I ordered this in the black & gray (much preferred to me over the blue), and while the face is a nice size for my small (5") wrist, the band is absolutely enormous. I had to get creative and lop off about 2cm and "weld" the thing back together using a stove burner. The interior band hole wasn't close in enough to fit a small woman's wrist, and the strap was massively long. I could've fit this around my ankle before altering. Strange that such a small face came with an elephant-sized band. At any rate, I love that this watch displays time of day and heart rate on the same screen. Something my Puma doesn't do. I recently had to purchase a heart monitor watch due to a request from my doctor to keep track of my heart rate on a regular basis (in order to monitor my tachycardia). This watch is perfect for a women's wrist or just a smaller wrist overall. The bigger mios (breeze, drive, elite, etc) are too big and the wristband pulls funny. The Good: This watch has a lot of great features with a nice and simple design. you can keep track of your caloric intake for the day, get a good idea of how many calories you burn while working out (and even get it to subtract it from your running caloric intake tally). It allows you to set up the watch for your weight, age and sex, as well. You can set a target caloric boundary for the day and it will let you know where you are with respect to that target. ... It does what it's supposed to do: count steps. I was just looking for a simple cheap way to give me an idea of how much I walk each day. A few years ago I started walking back and forth to work, as well as running errands around town. This pedometer did that. I don't know how accurate it is, but it measured pretty close to what I thought. The biggest surprise was how comfortable and unobtrusive it is. I forget I have it on until I go home and take my belt off. I do have a bit of a belly and I thought I would feel the device on the top of my belt, but no, I didn't. Simple and cheap, and it works too!

I enjoy using my Polar heart rate monitor. It is the first heart rate monitor I have ever purchased as I needed it for a college class. It is simple and easy to use. I wish it did have an alarm on it, but I guess I would have had to pay more for a heart rate monitor with an alarm.
