Olympus Outback 10x21 RC1 Binoculars Great binocs, small, light, easy to carry, and decent optics for a tiny price. Comes with a functional soft, artificial leather carry case with velcro flap, neck strap slot, belt loop slots on rear, and a nylon neck strap affixed to the binocs. Re: the occasional negative review, please research how binoculars work before you buy. The 10 in 10 x 21 is the maximum magnification (too much makes it hard to focus because the human hand shakes); the 21 is the diameter of the objective lens (bigger collects more light). The 10 x 21 is a great compromise between performance and portability - makes these binoculars good for concerts, casual use, sightseeing. Not for serious birdwatchers or salt water sailors, who want more performance and therefore will tolerate ... Read More
We got our product quickly & everything seems to be in order. Also, my wife's comfortable with this on her key chain (and she actually gets quite a few compliments from her friends about how cute it looks). Hopefully she'll never have to use it, but it does make us feel a little more secure.
I've gone thru other binoculars in the past, and these are the best I've found, particularly for the price! Very nice and compact... I use them frequently for nature watching. Very clear and with very good magnification! Recommended!
I've had this monocular scope for a few weeks now. I haven't been able to find any reviews on this monocular. I'm guessing that it is either too new for any extensive reviews, or this product was a failure, and its on the way out.
In either case, I'll provide maybe the 1st review I've seen anywhere.
Pros: Great optical clarity. Zoom is a very useful function, especially with a portable optical scope. The eye relief is much much better than most others out there, (yeah, what eye relief right?). People wearing glasses will be able to enjoy this scope, and it works equally well when viewed directly pressed against your eyes. The Bak-4 Prism as well as the multi-coated lenses produces awesome clarity. Unlike many junkyard ocular scopes out there, the multi-coated lenses on ... Read More
I researched several different types of binoculars and found that these would be the best ones in this price range. I wanted something lightweight for travel and hiking but powerful enough to observe objects at quite a distance. These are perfect and a great value! I gave them as a gift to my significant other and he is very happy with them.
I purchased this for my Ruger 10/22 carbine. Installed easily. Sighted in with no problems. Optics clear. Adjustable magnification is great for us whose vision is not what it once was. I would definitely recommend this rifle scope to my comrades.
THese reminded me of some of the surplus stuff I used to get from former soviet Union or China: case and lanyards cheaply made, but the optics themselves are of good quality, esp. at this price. we've used them for stargazing, field and nature outings, looking in the neighbors' windows, and I have no complaint at all about function or durability. I've been keeping an eye on some Nikon 10X50'c at the local WalMarx. Marked down to $106.00 last check, but these turned out to be a better deal.
While attending an astronomy club's night out, one of the members offered to show me a globular cluster using his image stabilized binoculars (brand unknown). As I brought the portion of sky into focus, I pressed the button and -- WOW! I could clearly see the cluster, not because it was highly magnified, but because my eyes had a chance to focus and process the image. Thoroughly impressed, I walked over to my wife and told her of the experience. A few weeks later, we had a pair of 12x36 Canons, and were counting the moons of Jupiter. My wife wanted her own pair so we would not have to readjust them when sharing. She complained about having to hold down the button all the time, something that I don't mind doing as I have long fingers. She also wanted a pair that would focus closer.
What a pleasant surprise. For years, I've watched other guys lug around these bulky, 5 to 10-pound spotting scopes in suitcases so they can see if their bullets hit the bullseye at 100yds. After reading a few positive reviews, I opted to give this pint-size scope a try. It is a definite winner! It focuses easily and is as clear as any scope I've ever used. It is a straight view as opposed to the scopes with eye pieces that angle upward toward the eye. This product is a rare combination of bargain price and quality. The tripod is also good quality. This scope comes with a nylon carrying case that fits nicely into the side pocket, end up, of my SMALL range bag - and it only takes up half of the pocket at that. I hang my ear protectors over the portion sticking up. This way you don't have to start unzipping ... Read More
