Quite clear images and good depth of field, lightweight. The focus control does little and there is no individual eyepiece adjustment, but easy to use. Good value.

I spent weeks looking for the best set of binoculars for hunting and work. I have found that some have a better warranty such as Nikon but, I could not pass on the Steiners. I have used Steiners at work for years and they hold up well to abuse and will probably last a life time if handled under normal conditions. I hunt year round and love the fact once the eye pieces are set I don't have to change them. I can see from 20 feet to infinity without adjustment.

I bought them for the night vision, but they are not. In a clear night you might be able to see the silhouette of different things; for day use they are perfect.

This is the first time I ever used one of these night vision scopes. First thing I was turned off with was the fact that no battery was included and it needed a 3-volt battery to run on. I purchased the 3-volt battery at the store and brought it home to find out that I did not have the right battery. As far as I can tell, there are two common sizes for this particular battery. The CR2 was the wrong one and the correct battery was the CR123. At any rate, I purchased a two-pack of these batteries and the nominal cost is about $10 for two. I do not know how long they will last; I suppose it depends on what kind of light you use it in. It has two buttons, one for on & off; the other is for the infrared. I got one of this and I really love, its not the best one, you know, but for the price, I paid $91.00 used one. But it works very good out side, in closed area the bright light can really be unpleasant for your eyes. but you really can see in complete darkness so that is the point of the IR. I can see a clock against wall in my living room im complete darkness at 24 four feet. And the diopter has very good focus, very clear picture.This one is better than Yukon NVMT 4x50mm gen 1st (Mfr#24027) because I bought both and returned the Yukon.

these are great scopes, I have other Popular (NAME brand) of pistol scopes also, And I can honestly say , dollar for dollar this is an outstanding scope for 1/10th the price of comparable popular(highly advertised)scopes.I even have one on a .454 casull and it holds up to the recoil.
