This are perfect binoculars for my needs. I keep them in my camper. Being water proof and having the rubber coating protects them from the elements and rough use when I am out in the woods. I highly recommend these to anyone.

I was taken back by the size of the Bantam, it is a little small, and it is made in China. But this knife shows no sign of inferior craftsmanship. It came to me razor sharp, and for the price this throw-away is a perfect everyday knife for rugged purposes. I took it out camping with me and carved shotgun slugs out of a tree, cooked and ate steaks with it (Not in that order, of course), I cut and honed branches, turned screws, have pounded it into stumps, and cut open innumerable packages with this and it is still razor sharp with absolutely no nicks. This is a testament to Buck, and whether it be foreign or domestically made, I'm reaching for a Buck, especially this little surprise.

For me this item fills the bill for two areas for which I needed help. 1. It prevents a quick or discreet snatch of my firearm or credit cards/wallet from my car while it is unattended, in for service, parked at night, etc. 2. It adds one more layer of defense from a child gaining access to my firearm. $30 is cheap for a good nights sleep. Also, I have used it when traveling to lock up my wallet in the room to keep the maids from skimming and it does happen more often than you think. I won't give warnings because we are all adults but obviously it nor anything else will prevent a determined thief that has ample time but most are too lazy or else they'd have jobs. Bought these binoculars to be able to get a better look at the blimps, hot air balloons, and birds from my home, but also needed something to get a better view of the far end zone at Giant's Stadium. Nothing elaborate about these binoculars, but perfect for my needs.

I only paid $10 dollars (after promotional discounts) for the kit, so I can't complain. But for the people about to pay full price, I write this review. The binoculars are worth about $25, because they are not multicoated and they have very noticeable blurriness around the edges of the view field. I have a pair of Bushnell $60 binoculars that work very well at night and put the Celestron set to shame. The metal, 5-LED, red flashlight is worth around $5 dollars and functions very well. The green pointer works well for about the first 15 minutes of use, then the batteries need to be changed, because the beam gets weak. Introduction: I already own Nikon Action 8 x 40 Binoculars that work really well and are in the same price range as these Travelite binoculars. BUT! The Action 8 x 40's are way too big and way too heavy and I found myself not carrying them outside the house much. I needed a smaller, lighter pair to travel with that could fit in my pockets. So I went to several different stores and tried a lot of different smaller lower weight binoculars some costing almost $1,000.
