We bought these binoculars for a trip to Alaska. They are fairly compact and lightweight, which made them perfect for viewing wildlife and scenery while backpacking. My only complaint is that we lost one of the objective lens caps, and it has been pretty much impossible to replace it. Nikon says that part has been backordered for 7 months, and I can't find any dealers who sell it. It seems crazy, especially after reading the other reviewer's comment about how easy it is to lose the cap.... we must not be the only ones with this problem.

I really like this knife. I usually don't get cheap little knifes, but for some reason this one stood out to me. It has real rosewood handles, none of that faux crap other manufacturers use. I will say the other reviewers were right and you should tighten down the screws. I got lucky and read the reviews before buying it so i didn't have a problem. Just by looking at it there was no way to tell they were loose, but when i tryed to tighten it, the screw still had a ways further it could go in. By the way, it requires a hex wrench, not a screwdriver. I believe i used a 1/16" or 1/32" but im not positive on that. The blade came sharper than most of the cheap ones, but not razorlike. It is exactly like one of those rubbery foam mouse pads, except giant. It makes a nice surface for working on things. But the spongy material has a tendency to trap oil, but the top is somewhat oil resistant. And I assume certain solvents will dissolve the foam, so I am careful not to use my cleaners around it. I'm not a big fan of black for keeping track of tiny little pins and springs, because they are usually a dark gunmetal color. The exploded diagram is handy and saves bench space. I may get a second just to use as an impressive mouse pad.

These are great snow pants for the price. My only complaint is that it was not clear on the web-site that these were men snow pants so the size that I ordered was too big. Otherwise great buy.

My husband loves these binos. He has owned other Bushnell wides but finds these even better than his old ones. Loves to watch football games with these, can see all 22 players on the field at once. Uses them also for spotting animals in the mountains.

I bought this as a gift, and have actually used it after going shooting with the receipient. It is a great compact universal kit. The case is not as rugged as I would have liked, but if you don't take it in the field, it will work fine. Would buy for myself.

I have used the Medalist for five rounds now, and I'm very happy with the results. On the first outing I was having the same difficulty with stability that others have reported. I found it a bit inconvienient to have to rely on bracing against the cart, especially since there were cart-path-only restrictions in place. Being an advanced amature photographer, I've often used a mono-pod to support my cameras. I gave it a try with my Medalist and it proved to be the ideal solution. The pod with Medalist attached, slips easily into a club slot in my bag, but I need to be careful about slinging the bag around, or letting it drop. I was looking for a knife that would last more than a few months and had a proven history. I shopped for several months and one knife just kept standing out. after looking at the website [...] I felt I had found a good medium. What struck me was the fact that the knife's design had very little change since it was first adopted. I own a few small folders and fixed blades but non of them would stand up to hacking at tree limbs and cutting through wires.
