Excellent binoculars!! Everyone that bird-watches also wildflower-watches, mushroom-watches, butterfly-watches, bug-watches, etc., etc while they are out walking around. These binocs allow you to do all these seamlessly. The close focal range is amazing, but they still have a wide-enough feild-of-view at a distance so you can find birds easily. Great quality optics. Very lightweight also, very comfortable on a long hike.

Sporting Goods : Wrangler Men's Rugged Wear Classic Fit Jean

I truly love a great pair of comfortable jeans. But for me, finding those pairs in a half-size, 31x32, is a very tough struggle these days, because a lot of companies stopped making those pairs of jeans. Fortunately, I can always depend from Wrangler, and their Rugged Wear Classic Fit Jeans. They are sleek and stylish in no matter what I wear from the first thing in the morning, all the way to coming home from work at the end of the day. Also, they cost a lot less than those other brands like Levi's or Calvin Klein which might make you feeling a bit more baggy in your steps, and cost a lot more from the hole in your wallet. I absolutely recommend Wrangler Jeans for not just their value, but they truly make your feel rugged no matter where you go.

I bought this bag after much research. It is a very well made bag... if you wear this bag out, you must be either Rambo or a Soldier. It has pockets for everything and then some. The pocket on the back side is perfect for a water bottle, it has pockets for your multi-tool (Leatherman New Wave for me) Pens, perfect pocket for a Surefire E2L, a place for your keys, camera, cellphone (although my Blackberry Curve is too big, but a standard phone will fit fine) and if you are of a mind your handgun. Although my Government Model 1911 is a little too big, but anything smaller will fit fine. My only complaint is the the padded sliding shoulder pad, if you are wearing a shirt without a collar, it tends to rub your neck raw. But if you have a collar it is fine.

I think this bag will last a very ... Read More

I wrote a thesis on low-cost hearing devices and I tested this one among others. I found that it is hazardous to your hearing and can potentially cause damage to your hearing, rather than help you hear better. The thing that irks me the most is that people think this instrument will protect them against gunshot noise (the supposed "noise suppression") and in reality, you can do more damage to your hearing wearing this instrument, than wearing nothing at all. Please, folks, leave this one and any other low-cost (<$100) devices alone. They are a waste of your money, do not follow FDA regulations, and can potentially damage your hearing.

Having been a huge fan of my Schrade Multi-Tool, I was devastated when it came up missing. My favorite feature is the fact that I don't have to open the pliers to access the other tools. My second favorite feature is the price. I had forgotten how affordable it was compared to some of the Leatherman and Gerber tools. I went to Dick's, Lowes, Home Depot, called Cabella's and Gander Mountain...no luck. But Amazon had it in stock with quick shipment and I was back in business. One reason why I didn't rate this a "5"...The metal doesn't seem quite as high quality as my older Schrade when it came to the shell. The individual tools are still A+. I don't know if it was a change that took place when Taylor purchased the rights to manufacture/distribute the tools or not, but it isn't as good. The sad ending ... Read More

97.Bushnell PowerView 10x50 Wide Angle Binocular from: Bushnell

Sporting Goods : Bushnell PowerView 10x50 Wide Angle Binocular
The actual dimnetions of this product are 7" long and 7" wide ( at the end of the product- the part that we hold to our eyes is not quite as wide and fit to the eyes.

These are VERY strong binoculars, they are 16x the magnification, the 50 ( the other #) is simply the size of the front lens.. its 50 mm in diameter ( wide)... they are very strong and you can see things very far away. If you need a pair for a concert or a football game or something, then I believe these would be way to powerful and large. ( also I read somewhere, and I think its true that anything over 10x the magnification ( these are 16x) that you should use a tripod, since its too hard to see properly, since it needs to be compltely still.

Sporting Goods : Maxpedition JUMBO™ VERSIPACK
Maxpedition makes high quality gear that, although useful to military types, is not specifically designed for them.

This bag, for example, has pouches that work perfectly for a water bottle, eye glasses/goggles, digital camera and a concealed carry holster. The main compartment is an expandable water-proof bag. The straps are generous in size and the bag is padded where it touches your side/leg.

Perfect for a day at the park with the kids or at the range with friends and family. Makes an excellent GO bag for the trunk or home. The ultimate man purse.

We bought these binoculars for a trip to Alaska. They are fairly compact and lightweight, which made them perfect for viewing wildlife and scenery while backpacking. My only complaint is that we lost one of the objective lens caps, and it has been pretty much impossible to replace it. Nikon says that part has been backordered for 7 months, and I can't find any dealers who sell it. It seems crazy, especially after reading the other reviewer's comment about how easy it is to lose the cap.... we must not be the only ones with this problem.
