We bought the Giro me too helmet for our son who was 6 months old. It came with a few extra pads so we added them to the top to make the helmet sit a little higher on his head. It fits great, doesn't drop while riding, and he doesn't mind having it on. It is easily adjustable with the knob on the back. The straps were a little bit of work to get the initial fit but they will stay in place. It will grow with him and is of good quality so it was worth not getting a "dome of obedience" from wal mart. It was worth paying a little more to get a nice helmet to keep my son safe.

For a $30 helmet, it seems good enough. The size can be adjusted for both the chin straps and the back of the head. The only knock I have on it is that the extra pads that come with it don't stick well at all. They even fall out when I am wearing the thing (not sure how that happens). I ended up super gluing the remaining pads inside the helmet.

The helmet is comfortable. I kind of forget I even have it on while I'm riding. It is affordable and good-looking. And it provides ample protection. The helmet is easy to use and easy to adjust, if necessary. Overall, it is a very good helmet.

When the helmet arrived, it was a beautiful chrome color with a shine like you woudln't believe. I tried it on and was VERY happy with it. This thing has a great fit and is very light in weight. The seller offered a hard-to-find helmet at an AWESOMELY low price and I was DEFINITELY pleased. Since I have no intentions to take it skiing or snowboarding or whatever, I can't really speak for its quality as far as absorbing impact to my noggin. I bought the Giro G9 for a recent 5 day ski trip. I found it to be very comfortable- It was easy to forget you were wearing it. This is not easy to admit as I was quite reluctant to start wearing a helmet. The quick size adjustment mechanism in the rear was my favorite feature. It allowed you to quickly and easily customise the fit and made wearing a helmet liner on really cold days very easy.A couple of clicks on the adjuster made room in the helmet for the liner instantly. No more "too tight with the liner and too loose without it" compromises. this was the feature that put this helmet ahead of its competitors for me.

I've had this helmet (only a few changes have been made to the Giro 9) for maybe 5 years. I still love it. My boyfriend just bought this exact one last week, and so far he loves his, too. It's really comfortable, even if you spend all day on the mountain. SO MUCH warmer than a hat. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about, there totally IS really good ventilation. You can take out the ear pads, and you just pop out the foam things plugging the holes and it's ready for a 60 degree spring day. Well made, it's a great buy.

I've got a small head, so finding a bike helmet that doesn't fit like a five gallon bucket is a bit of a challenge, but this fit fine for the most part. My only complaints are that it's a real pia to get the straps adjusted right (although the back circumference type adjustment is a snap), it was really irritating the top of my head (solved by using all three of the extra pads on the crown of the helmet to keep it from rubbing my apparently non-aerodynamic head raw) and the cheek straps lay a little weird. Overall... I didn't notice it beyond the first few moments on my bike, which is saying a lot, because I hate helmets, so it does the job, and really, for the price, it's hard to be picky.
