GARMIN 010-00447-30 Edge 305 GPS Bundle Great cycling accessory! The Heart Rate monitor let's you know exactly at what point in your ride your heart was about to explode. The eccentricities of GPS create erratic graphic charts postmortem, due to the inaccuracies built-in to the satellite-based system, but if you can ignore the inherit wigglies, the info presented is useful, and does a far better job of archiving your workouts than manual entry. I ride a recumbent, and the display is hard to read at times; when in shadow, or with reflected sun glare. The built in backlight doesn't help with the shadows. This claims to be "perfect for land or water" in its description, but that is not the case at all. I took this deep-sea diving (I was hunting for monsters), and as soon as I got underwater the unit completely stopped working! I called the customer service, and they said it was "user error". Me and my new monster pets are very upset.

The product is great, but the Amazon product description WHAT'S IN THE BOX section clearly states that City Navigator is included. It is not. I confirmed with Garmin that the product # Amazon is shipping (010-00555-30)does not include City Navigator and it will cost you $81.21 to get it on Amazon Garmin Micro Secure Digital North America Map Card. The correct product # is 010-00555-40 or 010-00555-60 (Team Garmin version) - neither available on Amazon as of today. Other than that, I have been very happy with the 705.

Like previous Garmin products we have used the 478 GPS receiver is easy to use. Keep the directions handy to switch between "street and marine" use. Bought the unit for a marine chartplotter backup but now use it for street navigation as well.

My wife really likes this. She wouldn't let me install the cadence device though.... She didn't want to change the appearance of her bike. SHe downloads the info to her computer and keeps track of all her rides. Began with a PC but recently transferred everything to her Mac, now that Garmin discovered that Macs exist.... About the same time that PC users discovered that Vista PCs are shi......... If you use Vista, you should be aware that Garmin has the same software for Macs now. Get it. You won't be sorry

lake greenwood chart, sc looks like a ROAD map ! that's not what I thought I was getting when I purchased the inland lake software ! it shows the bottom right under the boat very well, but not where I want to go. does anybody know where I can find a unit with lake greenwood bottom detail ? other than this, I like the unit. thanks, gt
