The unit I received is a used one. It's has a fairly visible dent on the rod. The package looks like openned before, and then re-sealed.

What can you say, a good basic compass. Seems to be made pretty well and it points north! Tally-Ho!

I must need to cut back on the coffee because I can't really see anything with this due to everything bouncing around. I do appreciate it's small size and relative affordability, but I'm questioning whether or not I'll ever get any good use out of it.

I've had this monocular scope for a few weeks now. I haven't been able to find any reviews on this monocular. I'm guessing that it is either too new for any extensive reviews, or this product was a failure, and its on the way out. In either case, I'll provide maybe the 1st review I've seen anywhere. Pros: Great optical clarity. Zoom is a very useful function, especially with a portable optical scope. The eye relief is much much better than most others out there, (yeah, what eye relief right?). People wearing glasses will be able to enjoy this scope, and it works equally well when viewed directly pressed against your eyes. Although rarely factored in, fuel always adds bulk or weight to a backpacker's stove, nevertheless, this little stove has a lot going for it. The built-in piezo-electric start is a really great feature and works on the first try on mine. The burner can be regulated from barely a flame to a roaring jet blast with easy adjustment. It folds up like a 'Transformer' into a tiny unit that fits into a fabric carry case and weighs next to nothing. Well engineered and constucted, it will definitely serve its purpose well when needed. High marks for this little dynamo!

No, it's not a Cammenga. For <$11 no one should expect the same quality. If you hold it level, you will get an accurate enough reading to head you in the direction you want--but you'd better hold it level....and wait a minute for it to settle. I've got an old better quality Brunton that I would trust with my life--this one I would not. In no way would I use this with a topo map in big woods. Out of the box, it points about 10 degrees E of mag N compared to the older Brunton and a high priced GPS at speed(which agree). I use it in the deer woods to get a fairly accurate reading on wind direction and stand placement. It fits in the smallest pocket on my belt pack which is why I bought it. Recently bought this altimeter. It's very easy and simple to use, don't have to worry about batteries. Tested resently on mt.Washington, NH. Indicates elevation with accuracy... Plannig to use it on our next trip to much higher elevation. Barometer is usefull too-specially if you stay on mountain for a few days. I would recommend this product. Price is nice as well... compare to digital ones...

The first time I used it the little magnifying lens in the eyepiece popped out without even touching it! Luckily I found it and managed to superglue it back into place. Also, the compass seems very slow to respond to positional changes, as if over dampened or under magnetized. Although it feels very sturdy with the nice metal case, I have a plastic compass that works better. This is more of a showpiece than something I would want to be relying on when lost in the woods.

This is my third My-Ti Spork, the first one I ordered was the exact same product; when I received it, it was not the one advertised. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent me a replacement. My mother had a stroke and has no use of her left hand and limited use of her right. I found this spork to be ideal. Somewhere along the line one of them "mysteriously" disappeared; so I decided to buy another one. To my delight, you were offering it for $5.00 less than I originally paid. I only gave it a 4 star because you finally sent me the advertised item with the "bottle opener", the "spring" action isn't very strong; when washing and drying by hand, it opens and closes too easily, and clips onto whatever you are using to clean it. There was another review with the same problem so now im convinced this thing sucks. It Lights once every ten clicks or so. And iv tried every method conceivable: Holding down button for a second before clicking, or multiple seconds before clicking, yada yada yada. it just sucks. for a $50 lighter i am very disappointed, and after three years of wanting one of these. im afraid to by the other one.
