These are great little snow shoes, the floatability of them is fantastic. I weigh about 220, with gear, probably 230 and they performed great!

They work well, it would be good to have the sizing info posted. I am a size 11 and the chart says I should be in a large, but they have a tendancy to slip off o fmy foot in the mud.

I bought these to replace a pair that had broken after only six uses. The previous ones cost $180 and these were less than $50 and just as good!

live in ak. bought these at the beginning of the season. first set of ice cleats I've ever owned. spent the past 9 years up here walking on ice in bare shoes so i'm pretty good at walking on ice. as a result I've only used these less than ten times since I bought them. I pulled them out to go hiking this past weekend and I see that out of the 34 screws in the bottom of the 2 soles 7 have already come out. Now they want 11 bucks to buy more ice cleats and ship them up here. i think I'll go to home depot and try and match them up instead. In the mean time, I'm kicking myself for dropping 50 on these p.o.s's.

I bought these for my mother. She wore out one set of the less expensive model, and lost one of the second set. The less expensive models don't stay on the shoes as well, so we bought these to compare. These certainly stay on. In fact, they stay on so well that it creates a problem. These work very well on snow and ice, but they're dangerously slippery indoors, especially on linoleum. Since they're so hard to remove, my mother has decided that they're part of the shoe, and she carries an extra pair of slippers that she changes to as soon as she steps through the door. With the previous ones, she'd slip them off the shoe and put them in her jacket pocket. These are much better suited to heavy and consistent use rather than occaisional emergencies.

I bought a pair of Yaktrax Walkers last winter for walking on snow and ice-covered backroads here in Vermont. They initially worked really well even though one would occasionally fall off my foot. They really do improve traction, even on glare ice -But they won't make you invincible and you can still slip if you're not careful! Unfortunately, they only lasted me about three weeks before they started to self-destruct. The rubber bands that hold the steel traction coils get pinched between the coils and the ground and eventually break leaving the Yaktraks unusable. If you don't walk very much these may be right for you. But if you do, you'll go through several pairs of these a season because they wear out fairly quickly. I ended up getting Stabilicers. My Husband and I love our new snowshoes... Our only complaint is that the heal strap tends to slip down and the loosen while walking. We just put some clips on the straps and that solved the problem. We took these out in over a foot of snow and sank very little... It was wonderful to be able to see the prettiest snow of the year without hiking through snow up to our knees. Our only regret is that we didn't but them sooner. Great Quality and Package for the Price.
