This is nice headgear because it has a lace-up part in the back to snugly fit it to your head. The only real complaint is that the chinstrap (and loop-hole for the chin strap) seem a bit flimsy. I think a stray finger in a ruck could tear it if pulled hard enough. There is no problem hearing people through the ear holes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.

I used one of these in several games and had a heck of a time keeping the thing on my head. The velcro strap on the bottom wouldn't stay fastened to save my life, and the cap isn't very comfortable to boot. It's definitely better than getting stitches in your skull, but I would look to Adidas or Kooga for scrum caps. I now have an Adidas one that's great.
