The Bocce set arrived really quickly and was a welcome gift for my Dad. We spend a lot of time with family at the beach and this was one of the few things we did not have. We have had a ball with it. The set is high quaility and really fun to use. The only thing it did not have was directions on how to play the game. Luckily you can get anything online and so we googled directions and poof we were off and running.

This Bocce set is perfect for my uses,i.e. to have fun on the beach and on the lawn at home. At age mid 70's and a first teme bocce player I am enjoying playing with my young (very young) relatives. I can also envision plating it with older (much older) people who might find fun and therapy in tossing these lighter balls even from a chair! I also find them very portable for those who can't lift much weight. Not recommended for serious bocce buffs, however.

Decent bocce set, flashy colors, filled with water so they work well in beach sand. If the balls glowed in the dark then this would be the ultimate universal bocce set. Be careful not to hit rocks with the balls if you have a rocky yard....i am afraid the balls might start to leak; although no problems yet.

This item came without any game instructions and looked as though it at been purchased, returned, and repackaged for sale. While the merchandise itself seemed in good shape, I was disappointed.

The set arrives. When removed from the box, the case is dirty - it actually has dirt on it - the logo is already marred, and there are loose strings. This is a product purchased from Amazon, not an Amazon seller. Nevertheless, the case is wrapped in a protective cardboard ring. Once this is ripped open and the case is unzipped, the buyer is surprised to find that the balls - every single one of them - are marred in one way or another. Some have blemishes where the resin has been unevenly applied. Others have marks on the balls that might suggest this is a used set if the buyer had not already ripped open the protective cardboard ring. This user would return the set if the shipping were not prohibitively expensive. Save your money.

Amazon describes these balls as "lacquered wood bocce balls" that come in a "molded plastic case." These balls are some sort of resin, NOT lacquered wood. As such, they're a dull color unlike the lacquered wood balls in Amazon's image. Furthermore, the balls come in a nylon soft case (a case that sags when the balls' weight is applied), NOT the molded plastic case seen in the picture. However, the model number on the set I received is the same model number Amazon lists, so I can only guess that the set has changed over time to a cheaper version. My family still enjoys playing with this set, which is why I gave it two stars and not the lower rating it probably deserves.
