I love the look and the feel. I tried to cut another hole in my belt because it was too big for me. lol, But the knife had other plans in store, It ripped my belt, thick leather belt in half like it's paper. I should be mad about the belt but i'm still shocked how it cut my belt in half like that. Overall it's a great knife, nice grip to it, sharp, opens and closes with ease. 5/5

I really like this knife. I usually don't get cheap little knifes, but for some reason this one stood out to me. It has real rosewood handles, none of that faux crap other manufacturers use. I will say the other reviewers were right and you should tighten down the screws. I got lucky and read the reviews before buying it so i didn't have a problem. Just by looking at it there was no way to tell they were loose, but when i tryed to tighten it, the screw still had a ways further it could go in. By the way, it requires a hex wrench, not a screwdriver. I believe i used a 1/16" or 1/32" but im not positive on that. The blade came sharper than most of the cheap ones, but not razorlike. I was taken back by the size of the Bantam, it is a little small, and it is made in China. But this knife shows no sign of inferior craftsmanship. It came to me razor sharp, and for the price this throw-away is a perfect everyday knife for rugged purposes. I took it out camping with me and carved shotgun slugs out of a tree, cooked and ate steaks with it (Not in that order, of course), I cut and honed branches, turned screws, have pounded it into stumps, and cut open innumerable packages with this and it is still razor sharp with absolutely no nicks. This is a testament to Buck, and whether it be foreign or domestically made, I'm reaching for a Buck, especially this little surprise.

I was looking for a knife that would last more than a few months and had a proven history. I shopped for several months and one knife just kept standing out. after looking at the website [...] I felt I had found a good medium. What struck me was the fact that the knife's design had very little change since it was first adopted. I own a few small folders and fixed blades but non of them would stand up to hacking at tree limbs and cutting through wires. This little plain edge knife with VG-10 steel is a delight to own and use. The picture used on Amazon is not a completely good rendition of the actual knife. The picture makes the knife appear to have a mirror-like chrome finish, however, in reality it has a more of greyish, brushed metal finish. It is still very handsome, but not shiny. The knife and handle appear to be about 3.5 to 4 mm (roughly) with the clip adding another 3 to 4 mm in thickness to the overall knife. It is very easy to slip into the pocket and does not feel too heavy. The workmanship is top notch. My only reservation is that I will have to a little more careful as to not roll the tip of the knife when I eventually will have to sharpen it. As expected, this knife's factory edge is very sharp.

Having been a huge fan of my Schrade Multi-Tool, I was devastated when it came up missing. My favorite feature is the fact that I don't have to open the pliers to access the other tools. My second favorite feature is the price. I had forgotten how affordable it was compared to some of the Leatherman and Gerber tools. I went to Dick's, Lowes, Home Depot, called Cabella's and Gander Mountain...no luck. But Amazon had it in stock with quick shipment and I was back in business. One reason why I didn't rate this a "5"...The metal doesn't seem quite as high quality as my older Schrade when it came to the shell. The individual tools are still A+. I've owned this knife since 1985. It's been used as a field knife for drilling, where I cut soil from split spoon samplers. High quality, solid knife; no rust. It dulls after cutting through soil with rocks, but sharpens up nicely. High quality, heavy duty leather sheath. Highly recommended.
