I had fairly low expectations for this disc - we've used a number of glow-in-the-dark and light-up discs, and they were all hard to use or hard to see. This disc surpasses all our expectations, by being easy to see, sturdy, and an Ultimate Frisbee-class flyer as well. The lighting system is both bright and unobtrusive, and the LED light and light channels provide bright, easy-to-see night lighting. A definite winner.

The blasting pad part of this toy is quite durable, better than others I've seen. The fins fall off the rockets very easily, so plan to invest in some foam glue or just blast the rockets without the fins. One it is assembled, it really has to stay that way, so though it is not too big, you've got to have a place to put it. It is simple for the littler ones to figure out, and while the rockets don't fly as high as they do for older kids, the younger ones love it anyway. Even my 2 year old has figured this out and can make the rockets shoot 10-15 feet in the air. I liked the fact that the rockets can only shoot straight up, but I have a few boys who would sure love it if it would shoot in any direction (my husband showed them how to pick up the pad and aim it to make it do that...Thanks, ... I've owned a Beamo since the product first became available. It's great fun for kids of all ages and adults, too. Especially neat if there's a bit of a breeze blowing. Safer than hard plastic discs, more controllable than a boomerang. This toy is a classic! Should be in the toy hall of fame.

The 200 gram frisbee is heaviest Frisbee ever made. With weight always making for a easier throw and more steady flight of the disc when releaseed from one's hand, the 200 gram disc makes all of this and more take place better then ever. Previous discs on the heavy side included the infamous black and gold 150 gram and then the redish colored 170 gram, both no longer on the market as far as I know, but readily available at Ebay.com new or used. I live in a small town with the local Wal-Mart as the 'get all' store. Yea, like they are classy enough to carry Whamo glow frisbees. Leave it to AMAZON to direct me to this exact Model Frisbee. SO easy on checkout...No problems and my son is starting to understand how to fly a frisbee! Thanks much you guys!
