I'm very happy with the Bell Motivator trainer. I"m just a recreational cyclist, but I don't enjoy cycling when it's minus 30F outside! So I wanted something I could use to bring my old mountain bike inside and keep in-shape during the long winter here in Alaska. I find the trainer very easy to use, and I had the bike set up and started riding within 5 minutes of getting it out of the box. There is noise, but I don't find it too obnoxious. Could be because I have very heavy, studded mountain bike tires on my bike. I just wanted something simple, at not too exorbitant a cost, and I found it! I've been using it every other day, for almost three weeks now, and I have no complaints.

Overall, its size is definitely a plus for an apartment. Also, it's very quiet, though not silent (I can watch TV without having to up the volume). It's is also heavy-duty but easy to move when I'm done with it. The resistance settings seem adequate, too. It is a pain to adjust the height each time you set it up for a different bike or rim/tire size, but doesn't need to be readjusted if you use it again with the previous bike. Also, I don't find myself using the remote much because once I set the trainer resistance, I use the gears to fine tune the overall resistance as I am using it. I probably would have saved the money and got the one without the remote. In all, I would recommend this trainer.

I like the mat, seems very durable and of good quality; though it's a little pricey (that's why 4 stars instead of 5). I purchased this mat intending to use it on my hardwood floor to help dampen noise from the trainer\|bike, but ended up placing the trainer in a room with a rug. I still use the mat in order to catch any oil or crud that may drip from my bike, but have found that the trainer doesn't stay flat on the rug -- it tends to slip a little bit and bunch up around the places where it contacts the trainer. This is not an issue while riding, but is a cosmetic thing. The trainer seems to be pushing and stretching the mat into the rug.

This product does indeed do what it is supposed to do. It was definitely larger than I expected, but it makes no real difference. And indeed, they could have placed some numbers or something to indicate the angle increments, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I'll give it high points for durability, though.

I just finished my first ride on my mag trainer. This is my first trainer and it gave me a decent workout for the hour I rode it. The only negative that I have is the noise. This being my first trainer I have nothing to compare the noise to.
