Right out of the box, this little light didn't work. Though it's cheap, it's overpriced. Save yourself the aggravation and pay a few dollars more for something that works.

this light is great when its working, but it cuts on and off and i can't figure out why. when i first got it i couldn't get it to turn on and i found out that you have to have the cap on really tight for it to work, but later when i actually needed it i couldn't get it to work right. it'll stay on for a while, then turn off and i have to mess with it for a couple of minutes for it to turn back on. i haven't figured out the trick yet.

I have always had 5 battery mag alluminum flashlights in different areas around my house for emergency reasons, I decided that they were a bit to big so my research began, after much research I found that the smith and wesson flashlight turned out to be the best value so I purchased 3 of them and am very happy,I will buy another 2 soon, I highly recommended if you want a small very bright flashlight

I am a retired Mechanical Engineer, having worked in engineering warranty analysis for the last 10 years using Six Sigma Black Belt training (used by many large corporations such as GE, PACCAR, etc). I purchased the Stanley MaxLife 369 Tripod and have used it 3 times in the last 9 months, the switch has failed and will not turn the light off. This type of infant mortality failure should not happen and is the result of defective components or defective processs controls. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER HAS RE-DESIGNED OR CORRECTED THE DEFECT(S).

Although I had read the reviews I decided to pick up a set of these on a recent Friday Sale. I figured for $10 shipped if they didn't work any better than the ones I find at the dollar store I would only be out a few dollars more, but could have them delivered to me. Even knowing that they were compact, the small box surprised me when I opened it up. I did appreciate that they included 9 mercury-free Panasonic batteries so that I didn't have that additional expense. After looking them over I am a bit worried about how lightweight they are and that they won't be weather resistant. Anyways I popped the batteries in (3 for each) and turned one of them on. I work at a lumber yard/hardware store. We sold these as a special for Ace Hardware a few months ago. First off, they are made in China. They also have almost no weight to them because everything is all plastic. Do not buy this tool. They don't even have a durable feel when you hold them.

Love it! We use it for everything....walking dogs at night, camping, reading, etc. Great quality, great price. Last one we had didn't use regular size batteries so we couldn't use rechargable ones. This one takes regular batteries! I'm ordering more for gifts!!
